The Journey - Will You Continue?
Hello to all in the Wealthy Affiliate community! This is my first blog post and hopefully one of many. I wanted to talk about my journey, our journey into the world of online business. When I logged in to make this post, inside the text box it says "So what's on your mind? Go ahead put it here!". I thought to myself, "Wow do you really want me to do that?" I mean, where do I start? I do not want to be a "Debbie Downer" but maybe if I share a little about what this past year has been like for me it will inspire others that are facing challenges to not give up their goal of having a thriving online business.
Into The Vortex
A year and two months ago my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. I don't need to tell you how things progressed from there. There were days during her chemo when I would get home from work and quietly step into the bedroom and see her there in bed too weak to lift her head and I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs at the entire world...... I was so angry!
My job was a very demanding job in management for a corporation and my boss was unsympathetic to say the least about our situation and as soon as my wife's treatment was complete he terminated me without notice. So inside of a year my wife endured cancer treatment and I lost my well paying job. Why am I sharing this with you? No doubt there are likely many of you facing difficulties that are similar at the very time you are undertaking the challenge of developing an online business (no small order). You may feel like giving up.......DON'T!
Don't Give Up!
Daunting as life can be at times it is also filled with promise and opportunity if we keep a positive attitude and KEEP WORKING! The community here at WA is unlike any I have experienced before. It is full of like minded, positive people ready to help.
I am progressing albeit a little slowly, I am just completing level two and looking forward to learning how to monetize my website in the next level. I am working in a very competitve niche that is equine centric. I have had the site and a couple of my articles indexed by Google so that is encouraging.
My plans for the next three months is to complete my online entrepenuer training and dive into the bootcamp training afterwards. I also plan to put an article a week on my site which is a bit challenging due to the subject matter that requires a good bit of research in order to ensure accuracy. I also plan on launching a Youtube Channel asap. My primary goal six months from now is to see traffic and monetization happening. After all, the work may be enjoyable but ultimately we all want to get paid! Thanks for listening and continued success to you!

I'm sorry to hear about your job and some bosses can't give a rat's **s about other people. But anyway, keep up with your training and soon you will succeed here at WA.
