That State of Mind
I've been searching for a particular state of mind my entire life. It always seemed just out of reach, but would show itself unexpectedly in moments that would create a sense of timelessness, well being and a profound knowing. These sudden "aha" moments have always brought great meaning to my life and a longing desire to find a way to make them last longer or for them to become more frequent.
Ultimately, finding a way to do this required a mind shift into a state of higher awareness. And while there are thousands of self-help books, religions, philosophies and gurus who claim to have the answers or the "best" guide to reach this place of "nirvana" or to a life of "success," over the years, I came to an understanding that finding that state of mind was and is completely and utterly up to me. And I don't believe it is something that can be attained or earned like a high school diploma or a college degree. It takes consistent practice and the cultivating of good habits to experience an existence that is genuinely more fulfilling on a daily basis. It's taken me a long time to get to this place, where I'm beginning to feel more alive than I've ever been before and ready to take on the world. I suppose I've been getting in my way too much over the years to really see between the lines, as they say. But here I am, ready to bring my passions to fruition and lead my life down the path of my choosing.
So because I put myself to the challenge of seeking "that state of mind," both figuratively and literally with my company and with this blog, I challenge you to do the same and reach for your dreams with every fiber of your being. Aim for the stars and find the courage to do whatever it takes to open your eyes to the endless possibilities that have been here waiting for you all along. And most importantly, be patient and kind with yourself. After all, there is only one of you. Choose to love yourself and everything that you are. You're amazing and you're more unique than you know. Believe it.
