Gaining Experience and Becoming an Authority

Hey Wealthy Affiliates, how can you become an authority or produce an authoritative website if you have chosen a niche which you know very little about?

I slowly came to a realization after reaching Course 3 in the Affiliate Bootcamp that I chose I niche that a know little to nothing about, Social Media Marketing, and it is becoming a bit of a challenge because I'm running out of ideas of articles to write about, and the only way I can think of learning about more in this niche is to read articles online.

I'm sure you can see the problem here; if I'm only learning from online articles to produce my own online articles then I would just be paraphrasing many articles to make my own. But then I guess, that's how we're taught to write essays in school. Well, those facts mixed with our opinions.

I've already set up my Google Alerts for some keywords related to my niche, but I almost always ignore them when they come in. I think what I need to do is to focus on learning more about my niche for a while before I start writing articles on it like I know what I'm talking about. Unless of course I'm only writing reviews for products I've used before then I can truly know I'm writing what I know about.

Anyways, I'm currently on my 8th day in the 20 day break that Kyle suggests we take after Course 3, so I'm going to gain as much knowledge as I can during this time while only posting reviews, and hopefully by the time the break is up I would have had a little experience and know-how to make a purely original article of my own.
