Sharing is part of learning.

Is it really better to give than to receive? Sure it feels good if it is an act of good will but what about when you have in your possession something that is difficult to let go of that you don't really need? We came into this world with nothing and will leave this world with nothing. When a person is on their death bed with regrets, those regrets will not be of a material nature but of the intangible kind like time, experiences and missed opportunities.

Ebenezer Scrooge avoided regret and misery after being visited by the three ghosts. His unhappiness was a by product of his selfishness - unwillingness to share his time, life and wealth. It was a problem and the solution came to him through enlightenment of the misery he was causing others as well as himself.

It is my personal belief that one cannot truly love without first loving oneself. Yes there are varying degrees of love such as agape, phileo, eros, etc. My point here is that one can only give what they possess. How can one give others what they do not have?

Why is sharing part of learning? Perhaps growing would be a better word but in the context of the remainder of this blog I wish to stress the point of sharing knowledge.

Through experience I've concluded that sharing knowledge helps to reinforce it. I was taught in school that if you are able to teach a certain topic with confidence, clarity and authority then you have a true in depth knowledge of the subject. To achieve this takes practise. The first attempt won't go so smooth but as you voice your thoughts on the subject more often the words come out easier as the knowledge imparted becomes part of your being.

Counsel on study methods advise repetition to deepen the impression however sharing displays your understanding.

Nice work. I was a little lost in the beginning but i got it your point thanks for Sharing.

One of the benefits of writing blogs and tutorials is we have to study our subject. By writing we focus our mind on the subject at hand. By commenting on blogs we process the content just a little bit longer and analyze what it means to ourselves. Great post.

Great blog, very eloquent and agree completly...
