My first blog on WA
How did I end up here?
Good question! I've been dabbling in internet marketing for a couple of years, I've looked at loads of training videos, had ideas, done nothing about them, blah blah. The main thing that has put me off getting started earlier has been the high costs that so many charge for training and support in this field. I'm never sure what is a scam and what is genuine.
Anyway, a couple of months ago I woke up and couldn't feel my right foot. What's that got to do with affiliate marketing? Well, it meant that I couldn't (and still can't) drive or walk very far. That meant I couldn't work as I was working two jobs that involved driving. That meant I had loads of time on my hands, and no money! Enter affiliate marketing!
So I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate somewhere along my searching for things to make money and fill my time. The main thing that attracted me to it was that I could get started without having to spend any money. Since then I've been working through the training, I've decided to focus on dog training, as that is where my experience and interest lies. I've got a website set up, written a couple of posts, learned a whole lot, and I'm now wondering that if my leg gets better do I want to go back to work, as I'm having way more fun here!
What's next?
Well, I'm just going to keep working through the training, it has served me well this far. I'm hoping to learn the trade, so to speak, on this dog training website and then I have loads of ideas for other niches, so who knows.
Ideally I'd love to be able to make this my full-time work, but I know that is going to take a lot of time, so I suppose it really depends on what happens with my leg and how quickly things can take off for me. But, at this point in time I have nothing to lose, I can't do much other than sit at a computer screen, so I might as well give it a shot!
