My Premium Membership is up for renewal on June 3, and I'm leaving the plan. I I'm concerned my VISA will be automatically charged, and am wondering where I can find in my acco

While your website will be removed in 30 days ( or you can move it to another hosting company) your registered domain name is a separate asset..You will own the domain until the next renewal is due.

If you are sure you want to give up ownership of the domain registration:

Go to Websites > Site Manager > At the top select > Domains
Find your domain and click to turn auto-renew off to prevent further billing.

You might consider keeping the domain if you intend to return to WA later or even create an online business anywhere else. You can come back any time, log in to your account and simply make a payment - monthly, six monthly or yearly and continue on.

All the best to you. ~Jude

Your card information is not documented where you can delete it.

All you have to do is click on your picture in the top left hand corner, then click on "Account Settings," then click on "Membership" under Subscription Settings. There is a button that says "Stop Billing and Cancel Membership." Just click that and cancel your membership.

Your domains will stay yours for up to 30 days after you cancel, then they will be deleted.

I thought that if I left Premium, I'd be able to do the free course materials. I never completed them, so thought I could continue where I left off.

No. If you leave premium, you won't have access to the platform at all.

the only way is to setup a new free account.

Thanks, feigner - I thought I could somehow get back into the trial part and finish at my leisure without having to go Premium right away.

nah... sorry.
you could setup another starter account and not go premium with that one.
and when you want to come back, reactivate this account.
Phil

Hi Phil, why would I reactivate this current account, and not just start all over with a whole new account?

if you have sites set up in this account they are available for up to 6 months - outside that - then go for the new account - that way you can choose your mentor again if you want.

If I don't want to host my domains at this time, do I just let them go, and will still have them registered with WA, and can access them later?

Hosting is paid space on Wealthy Affiliate's servers. It's like digital office space. If you end your lease, you won't be able to use the space. The hosting of your domains works like that.

after you finish payment thn your sites will not be visible on the web.
you will still be able to get into sitedomains to transfer them or change the namservers.
I don't know how long that lasts, hopefully till renewal.
but you cannot log into them to carry on working on them
don't forget to uncheck the autorenew for your domains if you don't want to renew.
there is no guarantee that you can get them back in the future.
good luck with your future.

Click on your picture on the left side of the screen. Go to Settings. There is a subscription settings that shows your membership, along with the payment info. Click on the middle button for membership. You can cancel there. Check with the Help Center if you need additional assistance. I would write down your login info for your domains. You own them so you will take them with you, though I believe you should still be able to access them through free membership with WA.

As for the free membership, members who have upgraded to premium don't have the option of going back to the free membership. The free membership is more of a "trial".

Hi - your last statement isn't correct, just so you know. Once you have upgraded to premium, you can't go back to the free membership. If you cancel or fail to pay, you lose all access to this platform.

Hi - you need to click on your profile photo, go to account settings, then membership. Click cancel billing. This section is also where you will find details of your payment source.

Your domains are your property and you are given 30 days to move them to another hosting provider.

Here is how you can stop the billing and close your account: As for your sites, you would have to find an alternative hosting solution and transfer your sites there. Hopefully this helps.

Other domain hosts will keep what you bought and remind you if you want to renew. Maybe WA will do too if anything happens.

I transferred each my domain names to WA when it was time to renew. GoDaddy charges extra for privacy which is included here at WA. If you canceled your premium membership you could still have your domain names registered here but you would have to move the hosting to another company. The email addresses are always set up wherever your websites are hosted.

Hi Joanne,
If you're comfortable to separate the domain/webmail from hosting company, then go ahead. There is no harm doing that except paying for some extra fees.

All my domains are hosted with WA and if ever l leave WA, I can easily move my sites to another hosting company. Further in WA, I have to pay my domain renewal fee yearly only and the hosting are free up to 25 own domain. Thereby, I can save a lot of money for hosting.

I am happy with site support services provided so far.

Need help with deciding on domain renewal wa or gd?

Hey, once it is posted, do not delete it. Search Engines will not find it and error message will appear to all who click on the URL.

You can switch it over if you want, but they will look the same. So I would just make a few minor changes but keep the idea.

Thank you for this question. It is similar to the question I raised. Hopefully we get answers.

As long as it is not duplicated content... best is to rewrite and keep both. Delete gives ghosts in search engines...

Hi Friends,

When I started building my website, I went through all the thousands (most of them!) WordPress templates and saved what I liked as Favourites.

But, now

Hello Joanne

You can go to your site manager > build a new website (blue button in upper right corner) > on a free domain > and then you will be able to see your favorites, you will then have to copy the theme name and then go to your wp site and find the theme in the wp theme search.

I hope this helps

Have a Great Day

Thanks for the info. I also realized later that while in WP, there's a place I can import my favourites with my WA WP login password, but it doesn't pull them in. So, I found that by clicking the ADD button inside my WP account, I can access the library and start my search all over again, and install (not activate), to add them to my library.

This is duplicating my hours of effort to searching Themes, so I wonder if this is mentioned somewhere up front and I missed it??

Thanks again for your help! :-)
