Out Of My Comfort Zone
I've been reading a lot of blog posts this morning and one in particular by Vickic3 has motivated me to write this blog. For most people on here I am assuming it would be fairly easy to get a regular 9-5 job and stick to that. But for me I know that this is probably no longer a reality. As I get older I am not as able to do the things i used to do physically. I was reading a blog by Vickic3 this morning called "Leaving The Land of Familiar" - I realised I have done a lot of that over the last almost two years. It has not been an easy journey.
If you were to tell me this time last year I could be writing blogs and trying to set up a successful online business - that would have been too much to comprehend. I wasn't able to string a proper sentence together let alone write a blog post! Last February my life as I knew it changed forever - but little did i know then that it was the best thing that could ever have happened to me!
I have struggled about whether or not to post something like this but If it helps someone else it will be worth it - to put it in a nutshell - I had a MASSIVE panic attack (thankfully while in hospital for something unrelated - so had the right care at the right time), since then I have learnt so much about myself - not least of all how much you CAN actually cope with when the going gets tough and you don't understand what you're going through, and most importantly compassion for people dealing with these issues. It takes time to get back to "normal" and even when you do, you will never be the same person you were back then.
It is hard to leave the "Land of Familiar" but it is so much harder to be stuck in a rut and it is so worth it to gain so much more than you had back there and never look back. Yes, I have had my doubts about what I am doing here but am determined to stick with it and get the results I need to make a successful business online - my constant motto for myself throughout life has been to never give up. You gain nothing from doing nothing. Life is a journey not a destination - live your best one! Onwards and upwards!

I'm glad you were inspired by what I wrote in my blog and I think people who stay too long in their comfort zones give up and then its often too late for them.

I really enjoyed your blog here Jo. You have and are overcoming so many things in your life that it makes me feel very proud for you, and I hope you do for yourself. 'Leaps and bounds' may not be the 'right' phrase for you but wow look at what you have done over these past days, weeks & years. You are a winner my young friend.
