1) Go to Settings > Reading
You’ll then see this wording about halfway down the page ‘For each article in a feed, show’ then it will give you the option of ‘Full Text or Summary’.
2) Go to Appearance > Theme Options and then about half way down the page you’ll see this:
“Excerpt Length in Words” select the amount of words you want to show in your post excerpt/summary.
Be sure to save each completed task!
I have found this the easiest way to do it, hope this helps….

I recently purchased a domain from NameCheap to transfer my old website from SiteRubix. I didn't update the DNS settings when I was purchasing the domain but I updated the DNS s
Did you follow the procedure to move your site to your new domain? Someone else was having a similar issue earlier and this tutorial fixed it for him:

Thank you for replying back to my post! Yes, I changed the DNS addresses to the ns1 and ns2 WA hosting but I am still getting errors.
You're most welcome! Okay, but moving your website requires more than just changing the DNS addresses.
Did you use the "move" feature for your existing siterubix site to do this like the video demonstrates?
Yes I actually did everything in the video demonstrated but this is the response that I receive after trying to move:
"Oops! We ran into an error on our side. An email has been sent notifying us."

I've been progressing through the courses after course 1 but my green button seems to be stuck in course 1 lesson 6. Is this a known issue and how can I resolve this? It's just
I know sometimes the courses change and they add new steps. Have you check-marked all of the completion steps in the lesson?

I have a question about adding images to my post. What if the images i need are in game screen shots (since i am doing it about video games). Would i need to purchase the images
I think you should be fine taking your own screenshots, as long as it's for commentary, and not creating a logo or selling the images or something like that. Think of all the letsplay videos on youtube and video game reviews - there are some rare cases of people having copyright issues, but there's usually some politics involved like they were a high profile gamer and wrote a negative review. There was a case like this a few months back, but I can't remember which game it was.
Anyway, I think you'll be fine taking your own screenshots.
Thanks for the help everyone! I"m beginning to get a better understanding as to what I need to do, in terms of legality of course. Much obliged!
My son is a gamer and has a game website he has plenty of pictures on his site that he has got from Google images and screenshots he has had no problems yet? I think is comes down to how you portraying the game in a good or bad way? are you profiting from that image/ game and are you a affiliate of that game or a affiliate someone authorized to promote that game. ie Amazon.
Yes, Google images is another avenue, just remember to click on the advanced search when on images and look over the usage rights options, better safe than sorry.
Hi John, there are some sites that have pictures and shots you can use that are for free ( as mentioned by Kyle in a lesson-http://www.freeimages.com and http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) , just read the disclaimers that usually accompany them, most are okay. As for actual game plays from a game, you might want to check with the disclaimers on them. I got a few pics from there myself, you can see (http://gamez4kidz.com/board-games) A lot of cases as long as you give credit to them it isn't a big deal. Just Google free images for websites and you can get some suggestions as well. Hope this helps.

are there copyrights to your own screenshots? I would do my own screenshot and then paste that inside a picture of a computer with a screen. thus creating a whole new image. Obviously mentioning what the screenshot is of..... the video game. and who owns the game.......
just a thought....... people do videos of what's going on on their screen too......
great question and unless someone here is a licrensed laweyer(which I'm not but I work in the legal profession, offline) I doubt you'll get a solid answer. I suggest you find a lawyer, there are some with online sites and ask for guidance. I work on a writing site and we have our own images because of just this issue. Good luck. Links maybe instead of shots?
Great response Sherrie.
I might point the question to Rich as he is very up on this topic.
