1) Go to Settings > Reading

You’ll then see this wording about halfway down the page ‘For each article in a feed, show’ then it will give you the option of ‘Full Text or Summary’.

2) Go to Appearance > Theme Options and then about half way down the page you’ll see this:

“Excerpt Length in Words” select the amount of words you want to show in your post excerpt/summary.

Be sure to save each completed task!

I know sometimes the courses change and they add new steps. Have you check-marked all of the completion steps in the lesson?

I think you should be fine taking your own screenshots, as long as it's for commentary, and not creating a logo or selling the images or something like that. Think of all the letsplay videos on youtube and video game reviews - there are some rare cases of people having copyright issues, but there's usually some politics involved like they were a high profile gamer and wrote a negative review. There was a case like this a few months back, but I can't remember which game it was.

Anyway, I think you'll be fine taking your own screenshots.

It is better to refer to the site that you want to borrow from .

My son is a gamer and has a game website he has plenty of pictures on his site that he has got from Google images and screenshots he has had no problems yet? I think is comes down to how you portraying the game in a good or bad way? are you profiting from that image/ game and are you a affiliate of that game or a affiliate someone authorized to promote that game. ie Amazon.

Hi John, there are some sites that have pictures and shots you can use that are for free ( as mentioned by Kyle in a lesson-http://www.freeimages.com and http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) , just read the disclaimers that usually accompany them, most are okay. As for actual game plays from a game, you might want to check with the disclaimers on them. I got a few pics from there myself, you can see (http://gamez4kidz.com/board-games) A lot of cases as long as you give credit to them it isn't a big deal. Just Google free images for websites and you can get some suggestions as well. Hope this helps.

are there copyrights to your own screenshots? I would do my own screenshot and then paste that inside a picture of a computer with a screen. thus creating a whole new image. Obviously mentioning what the screenshot is of..... the video game. and who owns the game.......

just a thought....... people do videos of what's going on on their screen too......

great question and unless someone here is a licrensed laweyer(which I'm not but I work in the legal profession, offline) I doubt you'll get a solid answer. I suggest you find a lawyer, there are some with online sites and ask for guidance. I work on a writing site and we have our own images because of just this issue. Good luck.
