Did I make a mistake?

This is my first post through which I would like to share my experience here at WA.
It's been a month since I joined WA. I must admit that the journey is exciting and I would like to thank Kyle and Carson again and all those who have supported me and continue to support me.
On January 22nd I started building my website with a domain name that I have owned for about 3 years. I have already published 9 articles all indexed by Google so far.
However, I keep asking myself if I made a mistake in choosing my niche. Let me tell you why.
I realized that the competition in my niche is very high. With Jaaxy, I have found key words with a competition below 100 as Kyle recommended in training. However, I also use a chrome extension, namely Moz Bar, to refine my searches, especially to know the DA (Domain Autority) and PA (Page Autority) of the sites listed on the first page of Google. And there I realized that whatever keyword I use, it is already used by sites that have a great authority and therefore difficult to downgrade.
Nevertheless, I decided to use keywords for which sites with an AD below 40 appear on the first page of Google with the hope to downgrade them one day. I also plan to increase the size of my posts (between 2000 and 3000) as well as their structuring to give me a bit more chance.
If you have any other advice to give me on this subject, I would be happy to receive it.

If you make your site better than the rest then it won't matter how much competition there is! Please remove your site address from the post, as you are not allowed to have it there.

No problems. You just need to be careful as you can get banned from writing if someone complains. There is a post no no spam which has all the rules in it. Enjoy the rest of your day.
