In a desparate plea for HELP God showed me Wealthy Affiliate. [WA] So I started with great enthusiasm! Less than two months in, I fell on the ice and broke my ankle. Prognosis: Surgery to insert metal plates. High Blood Pressure found its way in. New medications. Computer crashes. Hopping about in a cast, my grandson - Jahlion - suffered a series of attacks in his blood system. Ambulances. Dangerous Ice. Mountains of Snow. Threatening winds. Hospitals. Doctors. Specialists. Then finally, off to Europe, from North America, for medically scientific intervention.

Before I know it, it's four months past. Golly! But WA never left my mind. Now, in a new country with a new laptop, I entered the hope for my future. My rank had fallen from less than 50,000 to more than 145,000. [This might sound backwards, but that's how we count progress at WA...We're on our way to get as close to "Number 1" as possible.] I was faced with facing my fear of technology all over again. I started to etch my way back...I listened to teacher Kyle and in his ultra skilful manner he took me to the frame of mind to enter Word Press, [WP] again. The creators of WP will not use the term formiddable in describing their website creating product; and some of you - technologically savvy gurus - can see WP as a slain giant, but to me WP seemed to loom over, and taunting menacingly, "You are defeated."

You must understand that before my union with WA, the only response I had for my capability in regards to electronic technology was: I know NOTHING of technology, especially digital technology. So for me to enter the Back Office of a WP website, and see my picture beside the Admin designation, it is safe for you to say that I am the most improved person of 2018, technologically. So, I entered the Back Office of "Savvy Seniors" and completed lesson 7, where I had left off, so violently last year. My "About Me - Cyber Granny" page is up, my Privacy Policy page is up, and my Main Menu is structured. HALLELUJAH! Glory to God! Now, I am on to Lesson 8. To regain my momentum, i shall complete Lesson 10 and go through the course again. That's not my style. I hate doing anything twice, but determinedly, I shall become an expert at constructing WP websites. Thanks to Wealthy Affiliate!

In my efforts to get back in the swing of things here at WA, I did some reading in the "Training" Module. And I came across a webinar, hosted in 2016, by a fellow Canadian, whose name I think was Jay, and he was talking about scaling "Walls." I found it to be very timely for where I am at the moment. You can find it here: Pushing through the 3-Month Wall Walls could be good or bad...The former protect, but the latter kind destroy. WA can be seen as a wall being built to separate us from poverty. The president of the USA - Donald Trump - is currently proposing to build a wall to separate the United States from her Mexican neighbours. He thinks, also, that the reason for his wall is to separate the Americans from poverty, [Mexico's] but ironically, Trump's wall, as the ones that Jay warns against, would be destructive. One of the sure-fire way to not succeed is to stir up strife with your neighbours.

To prosper on the Internet, it is necessary to be open-hearted and accessible to all potential markets. It is essential that you build trust [not walls] with the people, and fulfill an outstanding need for which they are seeking help or a solution. Trump would achieve much more and make America better if he joins with Mexico, rather than to build a wall of separation. Jay gives some good measures how to push through the walls that might present themselves to prevent your success. To achieve your defined goals you need to have the ability to "self-assess" distractions that might come in your way. Jay categorized these as:

    1. Learning Barriers, which require you to acquire the knowledge that you need.
    2. Action Barriers, which require you to identify and remove what's stopping your actions.
    3. Direct Distraction Barriers, which require you to remove all that consume time, unprofitably.
    4. Gratification Barriers, which require you to stop impatience and frustration from setting in.

The proven method that Jay suggests to deal with all of the above is for you to keep a notebook, at all times, and write down specific dates, deadlines and times to take specific actions, which will ensure that those walls do not get in your way and hinder your progress. It is necessary to understand that writing agendas are only beneficial if you commit and stick to that which you say that you will do. Following Jay's instructions you have to admit that he has offered a very conscientious way to confront the walls that may present themselves in your lives.

Some walls are not constructed because of anything you did, or because of something you did not do. Some walls just pop up in front of you. I am here to tell you that no matter the origin or strength of the walls, no matter how formiddable they might seem, take the time to make a right evaluation and construct strategies to push through them. Suddenly, walls appeared in my life and I was delayed for four months, but I AM BACK! Though I am still wearing an "Air Boot," I am still going to kick down all walls in my path to good success and prosperity. I will take heed and practice all good advise. I will pay attention to, and accept all wise counsel. I will ask a lot of questions, and follow through on the shared answers. I will recognize all personal and professional walls and shout them down, as Joshua and the children of ancient Israel did to the Jericho wall. I expect to make good use of that Wealthy Affiliate has to offer. I hope you too will design ways and means to push through the walls that rise up in your face, on your way up!

    See You at the Top!

I'm glad to see you back! Prayers for continued & full recovery.

Wealthy Affiliate has so much to offer us. in fact, it may be easy to almost get over whelmed at times. Yet, if we have faith and do the best we can each day, thing will work out in the end.

I hope 2019 is a lot less challenging than last fall was.

        Best wishes.

ps. I want to see you succeed with as little problems as possible.

So, in the future, leave out the talk about politics. That is one of the off limits subjects here at WA because it gets people really upset. The complete list of rules can be found in the little blue "About blogging" link that shows up on the bottom of your posts that you are writing.

I too have gone thru a number of .. uh .. "Challenges" on my way to this point in WA.

... but, as I have said in a number of previous posts:
"It is proven over and over in my life, that as long as I simply Do What God Puts In Front of me, and Step out Boldly, always taking Just The Next Step, It Will Always be what it should .. 'tho not usually what I Think it should be .. heh!!"

Anyhow .. You are on the right track, progressing in the right way .. and I/You/We are going to do just fine :-)

        See Ya Around Campus, M'Friend

        "Blessed Be"

        Joe

Wow! You are a great writer! And I appreciate your post. I seem to hit wall after wall in my progress. But sooner or later, another barrier is broken down. Thanks for the post. Wish you much success.
