Ranking Frustrations
I am looking for a little guidance if possible in regards to rankings. I am unsure if I should be ok with where my rankings are or if I should be concerned.
One of my websites currently has 6 pages, 12 posts, and 129 comments.
Every single post and or page on this site is ranked on the 2nd page of google, averaging 12-15th spots respectively. The good thing is this site is less than 60 days old. My competition for page 1 is mostly Big Box retailers as well as the manufacturer of the products (reviews).
I want to be sure I am getting better with content each post. I feel like I am missing something with every single post ranking just outside of page one. I don't have much traffic and obviously content is pretty light thus far.
Does anyone have any insight on this? Am I just overreacting? For this niche, I feel like I am in a good spot considering competition. How can every single page or post be in the same rankings?

Hi Jason, you must engage with the other elements of socila media for example, Facebook and Twitter etc. Irv.
Looks like you are doing well, not everyone can be number 1 but if you want better rankings then use social media.

I do use facebook a lot, or as much as I can anyways. Link the post on the facebook fan page, share it to my personal page as well as a few groups (when they allow me to). What is Twitter free #? I use twitter but am not familiar with that.
So link your URL using bitly then copy it but make sure you have a picture with you page for social media use then post that bitly shortened URL as a normal tweet but add your hash tags that fit your niche.
For me it's: #motivation #weight loss # fitness #strength
Whatever URL you want CTO shorten then use bitly. Then copy it.
I see. So just use a shortened url at post it on twitter page. Then rely on the hashtags and some retweets to gain additional traffic?
Yep, try it and check and against till you get the response you want. Traffic in no time for free, this will help Google rankings as well.

I think social media is a part of it but for me the ranking on page 1 just came with time... Once it did, I noticed my articles getting ranked faster and faster and more often than not hitting page 1 or 2.
For a new site it takes time for Google to grant you that. Just my experience.
I agree Heather. I have added additional social outlets for backlinks and that has worked wonders in my opinion. Flipboard especially. Video is another big one that I have yet to dive into, although I should for my particular niche. Just not a camera friendly person.
