Post not updating

Hi All,

I learned a few new things this week. That images should have captions and that internal links should NOT open up in a new tap. So I was going back through all of my posts and updating them. Well one of my posts will not update! It looks updated in wordpress, but it's not updating on my actual site. All the other posts updated just fine. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Jill

I typed in Wordpress post won't update- and you are not alone..this is an excerpt from a discussion thread at wordpress.org....If all you are worried about is the permalink then delete the post and make sure you empty the trash. Then you can get the exact same permalink again. So just make the post over.
Good luck, Andy

If you use Chrome, go up to the right hand corner of your window and click on the icon that looks like 3 horizontal lines. A drop down menu will appear. The third choice is New Incognito Window. If you click on that one you will get a blank new window. Then go to your website in that window and see if your page updated.

Hope this helps.

THANK YOU! I tried it and unfortunately it's not working. I'm not really sure what to do. All of my other pages updated just fine. And like I said it looks updated in wordpress but for some reason it's not updating on the actual website.

If you're using chrome you may want to install cache killer extension, you can wipe the cache for the page you visit.

I am using chrome, but that's a little over my head, I'll have to figure out how to do that. But thank you for your help!!

Thank you!

Did you refresh your website page

1

yes I did

Can it be in an unautorized size? ..Only problem I have tried. =)

Unautorized site? i'm not sure what that means

I'm not sure if this is your answer or not, but you might want to look at that post through an incognito window. Your browser may be opening a prior version of the page from your cache. An option to the incognito window is to clear your cache of all history. That would give you a fresh view, too.
