Need Help Changing the Comment Field on a Premiumpress Theme
Hi All,
So I am trying to change the wording in my comment field, right now it looks like this:
I want to change "mail" to "email" and I want to change "website" to “website (optional)”
And honestly I would love to change it so that the words are above the box not below, I think it looks really confusing right now (but that might be asking for too much)
or even next to it like this: (this is not my website)
I am using a premiumpress theme. I tried googling how to do this, and honestly it's a little over my head. Here's what I've done so far:
I went into theme options → general settings → language → comment form translations and tried to update the words there – DIDN'T WORK
So then I went into Appearance → Editor → _language.php and I found the words “name” “mail” and “website” so I updated there but it didn't work!!
I'm at a loss, I've been at this for over an hour and I'm no better then when I started. Can anyone help me???

Hi, Jill. Can you tell which theme or framework and child theme are you using? I am not familiar with Premiumpress themes but I can give it a try.
It seems to me that the contact form is a feature of a theme, isn't it? In that case your first approach should be correct.
Usually labels are in language files, something like /wp-content/themes/your-theme/lib/languages/your-theme.pot but you need a PO file editor to edit these. More on http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress.
I guess and hope that you won't have tp go so far. It should be doable through admin. It seems that your choice of theme and framework is quite professional so ...
