Getting Errors, Please Help Me!!

Hi All,

So I've been working on my new site babycribssale.com for awhile now. It's moving along nicely until now. I have a responsive shopping cart premium press theme. And I am trying to get my amazon plugin to work but I keep getting this error:

Amazon API Details Invalid

We could not connect to Amazon because your Amazon import settings are incorrect.

I'm positive my API keys are all correct, I've researched amazon's site and I can't figure out the problem. So I thought maybe I should try and delete the plugin and reinstall in a hope that the problem wound manically go away. Well now when I try and reinstall I am getting this error:

An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.

So I googled the error and it said to do this

  • Login to your FTP server
  • Go to wp-includes and edit class-http.php
  • Find: ‘timeout’ => apply_filters( ‘http_request_timeout’, 5),
  • Change the value “5” to “30”, the value is actually is the number of seconds before the server times out.
  • It should be this: ‘timeout’ => apply_filters( ‘http_request_timeout’, 30),
  • Well I spent hours trying to figure out what all that meant and I am at a total loss. And now on my wordpress dashboard under "premium press latest news" it says

    RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: couldn't connect to host

    So basically I am lost, frustrated and totally confused. Can someone PLEASE help me!!

    Thank you,

    Jill

    Is the plugin you are referring to the one mentioned in this post by Dom:

    I second support ticket.

    I do know an FTP server is a program that you can view your files in your root directory but all the rest I don't. I would submit a ticket to support here at WA with a copy of the message you posted above. They can access your root files. Hope this helps.

    Thank you!

    If your site is hosted here at WA, you will need to ask support if they will allow the plugin to make outbound requests. Only approved plugins can make outbound requests.

    no need to edit any files, that's not the reason.

    Thank you! Now this is probably a stupid question but how do i ask support?

    click on build my website, then top right corner area, Support Tickets

    Thank you! I really appreciate your help.
