A little anxiety
I did not know until yesterday that there was a difference between a post and a blog. Thenk you all who helped me out with that problem.
I plan to persevere at WA, but I feel I am lacking in computer skills. I was raised with the old style typewriters. The ones I learned on did not even have letters.engraved on them. Those of yoy who were raised with conputers and are knowledgeable in the technology and the terms, are very lucky and it is much easier for you then for me.
So far, since October, I have realized no traffic and I only have 30 days before getting kicked off of Amazon. I have really tried to do everything correctly, I think my nitche (my home town of Moab, Utah), is good, and I am confident that my posts contain good content....so I will continue to learn and I hope, prosper.
Thank you,
Janice Gustafson

I wasn't sure what I thought of Moab as a niche, not sure how easy it would be to rank well for it, so just now I went to google and typed in Moab, Utah. Here were some of the top sites:
1 an official site called discovermoab -- hard to compete with something like that
2 utah.com /moab -- also likely to do well
3 wikipedia -- people know what this is
4 tripadvisor.com -- ditto
... and so on. All well known sites or official ones.
Next I did a search on moab utah memoir and even there it didn't look easy. Lots of guidebooks.
This looking at the top sites in a niche I am considering is part of what I do when I choose a niche, and if I had done that for Moab, I woudn't have done it.
It might be good to leave it for now and find a niche that is likely to do better because it is about something people buy.
I remember those old typewriters too!
I started off slow for many personal reasons, so time is so different for many. I have started to make a few $$ offline doing online work for businesses, yet just in the last few months getting going on the MMO niche and continue to post when I can on another.
The community here has been helpful when I have needed encouragement and many, many questions.
I suggest you continue with your training and work with others in answering your questions related to monetization.
Take care,
Bill
Hi Janice,
I know it's easy to give lip service, but just have fun learning. We seem to have forgotten the joys of experiencing the new and tend to repeat patterns of "stress" and "frustration".
I've been a member for over a year now, and haven't earned a dime (maybe cause I live in the UK) ; )
Seriously though, It's fun to express yourself and share your skills with folk that maybe aren't as old and wise as we (heads getting bigger)...
Try not to compare with others, and just have more fun, cause the moola will come, haha
Cordially
Dedo
Thanks so much Dedo...and I sincerely hope your moola comes soon. It gets to be not even a matter of money, doesn't it? I think we are looking for a reward to our hard work, not necessarily money. But I will take your advice and just try to relax and enjoy the learning.

Hang in there, Janice and don't be afraid of asking questions here. You will find the WA "family" more than willing to help.
Wayne
Thanks so much Wayne, probably need to start another site, as my "niche" doesn't seem to be doing much.
