On quite a few Wealthy Affiliate members’ posts, I noted that people responding to questions, have asked the writer whether they have contacted the person they signed up under for any assistance.

This propelled me to “look” for the person who suggested I try out Wealthy Affiliate. I became a premium member through an access from a link he emailed to me.

Earlier today I sent him an email as I couldn’t “locate” a profile to follow him on the WA platform.

I found it strange that I have had no contact from him since becoming a premium member.

Even though it occurred to me that he might not be ‘active’ on the WA platform, I took for granted that since I ‘signed up’ under him, that I could reach out to him, follow him and that he would be available and willing to assist me as one of his ‘referrals’.

I have been receiving regular emails from him about one of his affiliate programs which I signed up for before becoming a Wealthy Affiliate member.

The MAIN reason why I joined as his affiliate, besides the percentage I will be earning from successfully marketing his product, is because my website caters for various ways of making money online - his being ONE of the products people can earn money from.

Again I mistakenly took for granted that surely if I market his product successfully, which he would benefit from, that he would be eager to assist or at least just welcome or thank me…?

I guess I thought wrong…

I received a response from the person attending to his emails stating that “… while ……… has continued to have occasional correspondence with Kyle and Carson over the years, he is almost never in the membership area anymore. His business today just keeps him entirely too busy. And for that same reason, it's just not possible for you to follow him or for him to be able to offer any one-on-one help. He does do some one-on-one coaching, but it's primarily for folks who already have a fairly well established business online.”

I guess then I REALLY have to work very hard to get a fairly well established business online…?

So the thought crossed my mind: “How would I ascertain whether my online business is fairly well established? I have not yet answered this question. I will revert to this blog in the future as a way of measuring my success.

I suppose some affiliate marketers operate that way … that they get people to market their product, receive commission from that success but they don’t necessarily have to avail themselves in return to assist those helping them become successful…?

This blog isn’t meant to be a negative one. It is intended for my own clarity and learning experiences in the Affiliate Marketing World.

Whilst I have limited Affiliate Marketing knowledge and experience, I feel a little ‘let down’.

I ask myself: "Should I feel this way? What can I garner from this experience? What must I do to ensure that my referrals will feel valued and motivated?"

My intention of contacting him was not to become a liability to him nor for him to ‘babysit’ me.

My intention was purely reaching out to a successful businessman, as a role model to me, one who will be ‘earning’ from my monthly Wealthy Affiliate membership, for some support/motivation.

I reached out in sheer, exhilarating, excitement, as one scammed too many times to mention in the past, now ‘seeing-the-light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel with Wealthy Affiliate!

I thought to myself that it is quite possible that as people become successful, having to maybe manage other businesses as well, that it could become challenging to keep track and in touch with especially newbies who don’t know much.

That said, surely there are ways to at least make contact, thank the referral for signing up and motivating them? Surely there are automated systems for this type of scenario…?

Oh dear, do things like etiquette fall away in the online money making world…? Really...!? Surely it doesn’t…?

Could I possibly be expecting too much…?

I know that I signed up to LEARN how to ESTABLISH A SUCCESSFUL ONLINE BUSINESS.

I am now, more than ever, determined to learn as much as possible, to ensure that next to building my own profitable business, I am there for my referrals and not leave them to their own devices - even if it means utilizing an automated system.

I am a go-getter! I will do whatever it takes to be successful despite challenges!

In closing I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Kyle and Carson, for not only providing the Wealth Affiliate platform but for your motivational emails. Also, thank you to the Wealth Affiliate community, for your selflessness in helping a newbie like me, on my journey to online success.

Despite the other challenges, the biggest of which are my yet-to-be-verified-Domain, I have already achieved the following successes during the past week:

• Chosen my Niche;
• Purchased my Domain Name'
• Created Two Pages on my Website;
• Made my Website SEO Ready and

I am now ready for Bootcamp : Course1, Lesson4.

First though, my goals for the rest of this week are to:

• Complete Page Three of my Website;
• Be Persistent in Getting my Domain Verified;
• Compose Two More Articles/Blogs and then onto
• Bootcamp : Course1, Lesson4

As an “orphan” I am determined to become an even more successful internet money making business woman!
