Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement
I found these words left by Steve Jobs on a plaque from a catalog. They were taken from his Stanford University commencement address in 2005;
" Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.
Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking.
Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice.
And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
Everything else is secondary"
Some GREAT words to live by!

Solid words - Most of us find it difficult to shut out the noise of other people's opinions of us and as a result live most of our lives behind a mask that only makes our lives unhappy or unfulfilled. When we do have the courage to break free and look into ourselves then and only then will we be able to embark on what our hearts truly nudge us to do and become.
But in our dictatorial world - it can be hard and especially if we have already directed our lives down a path that demands much of us, then a lot of us end us just being, existing, instead of truly living.
So with these words, simple but profound, we really should follow our hearts and intuition and make everything else secondary.

Thanks for sharing - I hadn't heard these particular words from Steve Jobs. and reading these words have sparked 4 new article ideas.
The one I find particularly interesting is 'Don't be trapped by dogma', because allegedly he eschewed a lot of conventional approaches towards the treatment of his cancer which are known to have good results and allegedly came to regret it as he left it too late.
The reality is that we spend much of our lives living or dying with the results of other people's thinking.
