Attention Deficit Disorder

There's many downsides to having ADD but, I learned to deal with it before the condition was labeled as such. You see ADD is a condition where the part of your brain that controls attention span is not stimulated like the rest of folks. The medicines that people with ADD take are, simply, stimulants. The whole brain is stimulated, including the attention part. I don't take medicine for it, I was diagnosed too late in life to worry about it. There are advantages to having ADD. I have explained it this way to my 1st son who was diagnosed at age 7 (now 23); having trouble concentrating on one thing allows one to skim many different subjects. If the subject isn't interesting enough, we drop it, move on. But, in this process I've learned a good number of things about stuff others take for granted.

ADD and Blogging

I think I'm perfectly suited for blogging because of the various subjects I've touched on throughout my life. A blessing of ADD is to become hyper-focused on something, unfortunately, that level of focus typically doesn't last a long time. My friends and family will usually come to me for answers on something they aren't acquainted with because they figure I've, at the very least, heard of the subject. And usually I have. If I haven't heard about it and it sounds interesting BAM, there goes another research-a-thon. With blogs, the actual subject can change each time and typically requires me researching more.

Blogging for $ or... ?

Blogging for me fulfills to of my favorite pastimes, researching new things and writing. I've been here for 23 days. I found out about affiliate marketing 24 days ago. I was listening to a friend talk about a wife to another friend and how she didn't go to work, that she apparently made enough money blogging. Now, I had seen the little advertisements on webpages but the more I thought about it, the more I wondered how she was making a living from that? I'm sure I typed something like "how to make money from a blog" into Google. 10 minutes, I was very intrigued.

Finding Wealthy Affiliates

Through my research of affiliate marketing I came across a blog with a review of Wealthy Affiliate. I apologize to the blogger, I do not remember which one it was. I'm not the type that takes the view of one website. I've been using the internet since before there was a "web" way back in 1989, I've seen a lot of hoaxes and misinformation in the last 28 years. So, i started researching Wealthy Affiliate more and after quite a few sites reviews and comparisons to other programs, I signed up here. Love the videos, I learn best by watching others do it first.

1 Beginner, 2 Domains

I know. I know. It's probably not the smartest thing to do, trying to stretch your attention across two different pages at the same time but, the more I learn, the more I think I can actually make this work. My job (quality control manager, automotive) is an okay job but, it doesn't hold my attention like this. I figure if I can learn this much with one website, two would just speed up the process. I want to get to the point where I know what to do in any situation. Right now my focus is on better writing and SEO. I do my research for both, here and on the net. I guess I've been pretty focused lately, I hear my wife tell a co-worker "I haven't had a husband for a couple of weeks"..

I apologize, this blog rambled a little. I didn't really plan it out. I had just finished a post on a blog and was hangin around here reading others' blogs and thought I would throw something up...
