Insights From the First Three Months of My Affiliate Business
Time passes quickly; it feels like my website went live just yesterday. With about three months (only about two months) of data on Google, I'm still navigating the learning curve of starting an online business. Despite the common understanding that profitability takes time, I've progressed after completing training, building the website, and publishing nearly thirty blogs. So, what's the situation? Are there any achievements or lessons for a beginner in affiliate business?
Analyzing the data from the Google Search Console provides valuable insights. Initially, the site garnered minimal clicks and impressions. However, with consistent effort and adding more blog posts, there's a noticeable upward trend. While the average Click-Through Rate (CTR) and site position remain modest, this aligns with expectations for a new site targeting long-tail keywords with low competition. Approximately 55 percent of blog posts rank on Google's first page, a promising start.
Examining the site's position reveals fluctuations, often correlating with changes in average CTR. Notably, a consistent posting schedule positively impacts site position. For instance, the site's position followed suit when blog frequency dipped in January. Conversely, with regular posts in February and consistent clicks, the site's position gradually improved.
In summary, while building an affiliate business is ongoing, these insights underscore the importance of persistence, content consistency, and strategic keyword targeting. With continued dedication and optimization, achieving higher rankings and increased profitability becomes more attainable.

I am about a month ahead of you. I am seeing about 3 to 4 clicks a day. But where I’m really seeing my traffic is from a nascent YouTube channel that I’ve tied to this blog. And I think frankly, that social media is really a key for two reasons first, it does give you some external links which helps. And second because you can’t depend on Google as a single source of traffic.
That's fantastic news! It sounds like your affiliate business is taking off. Keep up the excellent work! I agree that prioritizing social media is crucial for immediate growth and is now a priority on my agenda. Thank you for sharing such valuable insights.

Great job, Jimmy... :D
Is it typical for a new website to follow this pattern? I'm eager to see how it evolves over six months, one year, and beyond. Thank you!
