Temperatures risin
Well - Summer is here! The upcoming 3 - 4 months are going to be hot. A lot of forecasters are talking about maybe the hottest summer since the seventies. May be true, may not, but for sure the ambient temperature for all of us is going to be higher than we have probably seen for the last 9 months or so.
Not strange, summer is the hottest season so nothing unusual. From all around the northern hemisphere I see reports of people dying from effects of the heat, which probably is unusual in June, but happening a long way away from us so most likely we just need to think about some sensible protection for ourselves.
I always maintain it´s easier to combat cold than heat. When it´s cold we need to think in terms of warmer clothing and more of it, but against the heat there is less we can do. There´s a limit to how much clothing we can all take off without getting arrested! What we do need to do is ensure that the clothing that is left is fit for purpose.
Global warming? Mixed feelings on this, there have been some summers hotter than others for as long as they have kept records, but for sure doesn´t seem to be getting any colder except maybe when it hails from freak storms. Don´t let it all get to you, and certainly don´t go walking off buck naked down Main Street. Stay safe ................

Ah, you take the fun away. I agree that global warming is today's current catch word. I remember hotter days back in the 60's and 70's even in May. I live in Canada so that says a lot. There was not talk of global warming then. I have always believed that humans have not been around long enough to see a full cycle of global climate. At best it is a guess. Scientist are looking at things currently but what do they have to compare against. If the mantle in the South Pole is detaching and about to collapse who knows if this isn't the 10th time it has done this in the history of the world.
Common sense says to protect oneself from the elements as best possible. So if you chose to run around naked to combat heat don;t forget to use lots and lots of sunscreen especially in the nether areas.
