Well, as I´ve already documented elsewhere I came into WA on 14/05/15 just 5 days before turning 68 years young, looking for a new way to make a living after my job of 38 years (not continuous with the same employer unfortunately) went up in smoke along with thousands of others in the current oil industry downturn.

I first started my Affiliate Marketing career with a competitor who shall remain nameless, with a choice of building any two of the ¨web sites in a can¨ offered and only very limited and very slow help. In something over a month I did manage to build a nasty little site in a niche I didn´t like and knew absolutely nothing about, which superficially looked OK but in 3 months has not registered a single subscriber even giving away a freebie e-book. Theoretically all I was supposedly going to need to do was copy and paste! Turned out to be not that simple, especially with maybe thousands of people all banging away at that same niche at the same time. I hope some of them may have better luck with it than I did.

Unfortunately that was the one I first found in Google, at that time had never even heard of WA. In May, by that time almost a grand poorer, I eventually came across WA in a search. The attraction of needing no initial outlay convinced me to give this a try, and within the first week I could already see that this is something VERY different and went premium in time to get the discount. I haven´t looked back since.

I came with zero knowledge or experience, and now in less than a month I can already see myself with some knowledge (not that much!) so the training is working, even for me. The saying about teaching an old dog new tricks basically holds true, but at least some information is getting in and staying put.

In less than a month I have a site almost ready, may not be up there with the prettiest but I like the look of it and would buy from it. I hope others may feel the same way. I keep at it. some days 2 hours and others 10, and learn something new every day. I hope to make money, but even if I don´t will end up with a sound knowledge base to be able to try again and do better next time.

Without going into numbers, I hope to feed my family within 3 months as by then the savings I am living off will be gone, and within 6 months would hope to have at least a ¨normal¨ salary coming in to keep me in the manner to which I would like to become acustomed again. A kind of self-generated pension if you like, without having to answer to anyone.

I have registered with Amazon, and have their a-Shop installed, which should give me an almost endless list of merchandise, to be able to offer PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) or Safety Workwear at lower prices than the high street. This is not aimed at companies, who will have their own traditional suppliers, but I hope to attract the hundreds of thousands of freelance self-employed people like myself out there who have to provide their own.
