The 3 P's of Finding a Niche
In my quest to find out the power of 'niche', I came across this 3 P's that I want to share to everyone.
Passion - You have to have interest in the subject matter but this is not to say you are an expert. I guess everyone has a gift and talent but we just have to find it in ourselves. It is easier said than done right ? I am with you ! If you are like me, I find it difficult to find my passion.
"Follow your passion ", a worn-out phrase,I would say but 'what is really your passion '? an unending question my sister Trini asked me every time I am having few 'winge ' about my career. Trini is a Registered Nurse and she loves her job with passion, growing up as a child, we always play ' pretend nurses '.For her, if money is not object, she would still do the job as a nurse and would fly to Africa in a heart beat to help the hungry and sick kids. She has a personal purpose to help and she feels that self fulfillment in doing so. Not many people (including me ) know their passion like her.Which leads me to the next P ...
Purpose - Maintaining our purpose- whether educating or helping our audience with what they are looking for on our site or making people happy whatever it maybe it gives us the drive to do more. For an online marketer, because we have a purpose to learn we continue to improve our tools and technology to reach our goals and ultimately grow our business which will benefit us in the end - the last P.
Profit - There isn't really much to say here but all I can say is that, combining the two qualities will give us the profit. For many, this is related to money, for few (like my sister Trini ) it is self fulfillment for others- knowledge .
As I was writing this blog, something came across my mind which is an exact example of the 3P's I am writing today. One day at the markets, I was so fascinated by this 'woven bracelet ' in one of the stall. The lady in the stall came up to me and started a conversation, later on she started telling me passionately how she started her business. She said that it started out as a hobby making them for family and friends as a gift. As word of mouth spread across town the demand increased. Later, she started selling them in the markets and online- unexpectedly her profit multiplied by tenfold. She said that she was not worried about the money at first as she was just happy seeing someone wear her bracelet - that was her purpose. The profit came as a bonus she added.
I guess each one of us desire to turn our passion to profit. This is the holy grail of success.I am yet to embark in this journey and I hope this will help me.

Well thought out Jimini, it is amazing what we can create from such small beginnings, I like the three P's each is interconnected, and one leads into the other for sure. thanks for the insights.
Wonderful post! I wish I had a passion the way your sister does, she's one of the lucky ones. =)
