I've haven't blogged here for a while because I've been really busy with other things. But I wanted to ask once again if anyone would like to join in on creating a "comment thread" which keeps on going as you have conversations with someone on their site, and they do the same on your site. Right now I'm doing this with one other member here and I think it's working out well. If anyone is interested in promoting your site in this way, give me a PM and we can talk about it. I hope you're all doing well, and progressing well. Talk to you soon. Jim

I have tried the comments section here and found it confusing. I have yet to get a comment on my site. I commented on one site and tried to comment on others, but couldn't find where to leave comments. It is hard to tell who is talking to who. Is it just me, or are others having the same problems?

Have you tried in the comment thread section or on the offer and request comments page? I'll leave you some comments any time. Shall I just look up your site and do that?

I wrote you a PM. Thanks.

Who is right, and who is wrong?

Hi Brian. As I said in my reply to onmyownterms, this is just something in addition that a few friends can be involved in. There's no right or wrong here at all.

Again, this is not allowed at WA. There is a formal SiteComments feature of WA and doing anything outside of that devalues that official method of doing it.

This isn't like the comment feature here on WA, because those are just one comment at a time, and no one is urged to follow up on the commenting to create a conversation. Most people don't feel like they have the time for a conversation. So this is just something that a few friends can do among themselves along with the comment features here. Both methods all serve their own purposes. I still take part in the WA comment feature and I appreciate it very mush. Like I said, this is just something additional for those few who may like the idea.

I understand that, but I have asked Kyle, and this, because it is not 'pay it forward' devalues the system that they are attempting to have here at WA. That's why they don't like having things like this promoted on the site, and is actually a violation of the site's ToS.

I find your comment a bit odd. On Sept 14, I posted a blog called "A comment hiatus" and you replied by saying, "Thanks for sharing, I have a similar group."

When I asked if you would like one more, you replied, "We're already at 8 people and that's a big commitment. Thanks but not at this time.

So is this frowned upon or isn't it?

My group is on Facebook, not here, and I did not solicit it here on WA. And since that date, Kyle intervened in another such group.

Well, that sounds fair enough. I'll not bring it up here again. Thanks
