How much do we want to help?
I just left this same thought as a question, but I'm going to leave it as a blog also. How much do we want to help each other? Or maybe I should ask, How much do YOU want to help others? I just went to the comment section and went to a couple of the comments that I had already left for people that had requested comments. I went to their response to my comment, and then I left a response to them again. We could carry on a conversation like this. Is this not exactly what search engines want? don't they want to see people "using" a site, and interacting? Why can't we do this for one another on a regular basis? Do we have the time to give of ourselves? Maybe your answer is NO, I don't have time. But maybe if everyone did this, then our own sites would get the activity that we need to please google and others, and we'd rank higher. What better opportunity is there to follow up and to get a conversation going to help one another. After all, everyone talks about how this community is all about helping and "paying it forward". Well, lets start helping, let's start paying, and maybe then we'll all see some returns on our investment. What do you say? Is it worth a try? I don't know about you, but I've received over fifty comments on one of my sites from members here. How many have you received? How would you like to have that many conversations going on? Give it some thought.

This is a great idea and definitely it will help everyone to get the rank we are always aiming for, hope this thread will be seen by Kyle and Carson anf have this implemented. Thanks Jim for bringing this.
Thanks for your comment. We can always implement it ourselves. All we have to do is go to the comments that we've already left, and follow up on them, and start something. As I said, that could be just the beginning instead of the end of the commenting.
Thanks Jude. I know there are some who don't need traffic because they already have enough, but there's lots of us who do need it. Maybe lots of people will take the time, I hope so.
Exactly my thoughts Mike. thanks for commenting. So that's why I've started following up on some of my comments to others. Hopefully others will do the same.
I agree with your thought process. But what also must be a consideration as well, is time management. As well as helping others, you must be able to make the time for yourself for building and re-enforcing your business, as well as keeping up on training so that you can stay informed on how to keep your website up in the front running.
It's a hard balance depending on the time you have to spend.
I agree with you, but here's how I look at it. How much good would you be doing for your website, if you promoted this kind of back and forth interaction? I think that if you had this interaction on a daily basis, that would do more for your site than almost anything you could do. Of course we need to keep learning and keep posting, but I think this would be a very valuable tool.
