Working hard - learning a lot

Well, here's my first blog post. I guess it a success post. I'm new to blogging and all internet stuff, but I've been working hard and learning a lot. I joined WA less than a month ago and I've finished 6 courses - 3 cert courses and 3 bootcamp courses.

How, so fast? Well, I guess I can thank a weird injury. A couple of months ago my retina came off my right eye. Yes, you read right! Doc says it's due to genetics. I always had bad eyes. At 5 years I had fat lens glasses. I looked quite nerdy. At 35 I got lasik, but my football shaped eyeball is given to this type of problem. I didn't even know what was going on till the retina had come off the macula (that's super bad).

Anyway, I have been sidelined, but I can't sit still and my family has needs (six kids who eat a lot) so I grabbed a computer and am determined to provide for them. Most of my life I did inner city ministry so I didn't make too much. So far I still haven't made any money but I'm getting some traffic to my site so I can see the light at the end ot the tunnel.

Thanks WA. I think we're gonna make it.

Good luck

More than luck :)

Congratulations Jim, I pray that your quest to provide for your family becomes fruitful fast. Remember Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail or forsake you."

Thanks for sharing your successful first blog post, Jim. Btw, I'm curious. How is your right eye? I hope you can see better now. May you be successful in your online business ventures. All the best.

Well, life is different now. I guess it always will be, but that's good. There are advantages to everything. In short, I can see now. Before the operation I was almost blind. I'm grateful to have my sight back in that eye. As the doctor said, "It's like I just sewed you arm back on".. Later, we'll work on the details.

Thanks for the concern
Jim

Best of luck Jim. Sorry for the eye problem. Better days ahead. 6 kids eh....wow that takes a big table to sit around not to mention a lot of food...blessings, Duane.

Teenage boys eat you out of house and home :)
