Can you use WordPress to make a forum within your webpage? I know the comments section but I would like to make a forum or a chat room. Is this possible?

You can using a plugin to do so. I have not done this myself at this point so I don't know which to recommend.

ok, thanks

Just go to the plugin section and do a search for Forum and check out what pops up.

I am trying to sign up for affiliate programs and I keep seeing no PPC bidding. Another thing, WHen I am reading the agreements, I also see no bidding on the names of the website.

Hi,

PPC stands for Pay-per-Click. It's the advertising platform, most commonly associated by people with the Google AdWords platform.

The way PPC works is, it's based entirely on keywords. Based on how competitive the market is, the higher the CPC, or Cost-per-Click.

Huh? Bid? CPC?

PPC is an advertising platform, and those Google Ads (just as like in any other advertising medium) costs the advertiser money.

They cost money ONLY if they're CLICKED through by a visitor... and not just for showing up in the listings (that's another model, called PPV, or Pay-Per-VIEW, which I won't get into, here).

And the COST for that keyword / ad is the "bid".

Depending on a number of factors which I won't detail, such as relevance, performance of the ad, and the enigmatic "quality score", advertisers may have a higher CPC for the keyword.

Advertisers bid a CPC on those keywords, to get higher listings.

Like in an auction, where the highest bidder wins (think eBay, where the highest bidder gets the item), in PPC, the highest bidder's ad show's up the highest / first on the Sponsored Results placements.

You know the ones: they appear to the top and to the right of your screen, when you search for something in Google.

(I mention Google, since it's the most widely known, but there are literally dozens of PPC platorms).

Some keywords, for more competitive markets, will cost more than less competitive ones. It shares a certain analogy with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), where more competitive markets are more difficult to organically rank for; in PPC, an advertiser just bids higher.

One last thing: that CPC figure is NOT what you automatically pay for the ad - this can vary, depending on how well your ad performs, and its the MAXIMUM cost; it can be anywhere UP to that amount.
I
n summary:

PPC is the advertising mode, working on a cost per click (CPC) basis each time a person clicks on an ad. The ad's placement is determined by your bid (or spending price) for the keyword / ad.

Is shareasale.com a good place to get signed up with affiliates?

Cool, thanks!

Thank you for the tip.

Yes. I've been with them before. You just have to look for offers that relate to your niche. Some approve instantly and some you have to wait for approval.
