Stumbling Block

In the past 2 weeks, I have accomplished more that I ever thought possible as far as technology and IM is concerned. I have purchased a domain, built a website, added pages, conent, forms, plugins, signed with a couple affiliate companies and written a couple articles. I have found so much pride and joy in this that I may not be able to explain. However, I am still fighting one issue as far as my website goes. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to add an image to blog posts. I'm certain that the solution is something terribly simple and that I'm probably a ditz, but it is truly driving me batty. Anyone have any ideas?

May just be repeating what everyone else has said, try this training: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/adding-images-to-your-wordpress-posts-pages

Unless for some strange reason your theme does not support this function then the only answer may be to try another theme! David

Thank you! I think I will bookmark that training for quick reference!

When you're writing a post, between where you put the post title and the area where you put the main text of your blog there should be a little icon saying "upload video/photo"

Click that and it'll ask you to upload media from your computer, from a URL or from your media library within your site. Select one and follow the onscreen instructions ;)

Thanks for the help! It's greatly appreciated!

Go to your blog post page (within WordPress) and scroll down to the bottom. On the bottom right you'll see "add featured image" click there and upload your image or select it from your library. A pop up will appear so scroll down to the bottom and click "insert into post" and that's it. You may also want to make it the "featured image" for that blog that way it will display that picture as the blog thumbnail. Hope that helps!

That worked great! Thank you! I knew I was probably too close to the problem to see the solution right in front of my nose. lol.

Hi. For most themes, there is a small camera or picture icon, above the text entry box on the tool bar where you type the text into your blog. Hope this helps! Best. Rich.

Thank you. It seems all comment entry places on all the pages but my home page have the capability. Its very perplexing. I've tried to see if there is a seeing to allow html in comments and I've not found one.

Have a look in your theme options, in the menu on the left-hand side, it might be that you can add a picture to a fixed Home page from there, rather than dynamically populate your Home page from other posts. If this still doesn't work, don't be shy, just jump into chat and ask for some help!
