One week in...stepping out into the sunlight. This is scary!!!!
Hi all, I figured I better step from behind the curtains and write my first blog post. I had been researching WA for awhile and when I caught wind there would be Black Friday special I decided to wait and purchase then. So on December 1 I plunged right in and bought the whole kit and kaboodle....and went premium!
I am a novice but not a complete novice. I have an SBI site and did/do okay with that. I earn enough to cover the annual fee. But due to personal circumstances I have not touched that site in at least four years and going back in and revamping the whole thing is daunting.
The WA program seemed so doable and easy to understand so I decided to start fresh and with a blank slate, and here I am.
One week in I am working through Course 1 and am halfway through. I have completed almost all the tasks....I have some niche ideas but I have not gone ahead and set up my website yet. I want to go ahead and buy a domain name and make it my own site but I am still not sure how to research the niche properly here at WA and that is causing me a bit of anxiety and paralysis. It seems too easy and too risky just to choose something and start building without checking to see if I am making a decent decision as far as traffic possibilities. I know Kyle says just build it and they will come but I am having a rough time with that concept.
Other than that I am loving it here, love the community, and love, love, love reading about the successes. I got my 60th follower today and my rank is 2963 which seems to me to be pretty low for being only one week in. I am not sure what I did to deserve that but I am pretty happy with it!

It was a little hard for me to take the plunge into going yearly too. But I don't regret it now, it's given me even more motivation.
Your niche doesn't have to be something with crazy traffic flow. Just make sure that it something you enjoy talking/learning about or you won't like working on the idea regularly. But you can research more into niche ideas which is perfectly fine.

Thanks Sarah! I love your website. I had two natural births as well. I am a little bit of a holistic alternative hippie lol. I have a three great ideas I love and would have no problem writing and enjoying writing about any of them...now choosing the best one is the challenge. Thanks for the link I will watch the webinar.

Great I appreciate that! I will let you know. My birth stories are a little...old (my oldest is 23 and youngest is 17) but I would be happy to post them on your page. I will do that sometime soon as soon as I have a little free time. I am booked this week with work and meetings every night (we are getting into Girl Scout cookie season over year and I handle the sales for our area so I am a little swamped at the moment)

We still have a long way to go, this is a journey. You will become a success here, believe it. I encourage you to start even a test site, because you learn so much more when you apply the principles at the time you learn it. .
SBI is another community I dabbled in for a short while, I found it helpful, but it did not have half the benefits of WA. And I never got my website off the ground. With all the help from everyone in the WA community, I have asked questions, given advice, and now have several pages up on my site www.veganprescription.com
