What Is Holding Us Back & How to Kick It In The Teeth

I've spent most of my life being an avid reader and a trying to figure out the keys to success and the reasons that people stay down for the count after a failure.

I love studying with the greats like Jim Rohn and Tony Robbins along with many others.

One of the things that I found to be true after reading Think and Grow Rich is that what we think about we surely do bring about. Even when we know this, it is easy to worry and doubt.

Developing Awareness

When we become aware of what is holding us back, we can work on it and overcome. Most of the time, it is something small in our minds that we need to work through. We have to work on our awareness so we can find those things and break through to the next level.

How to Develop Awareness

Some of the practices that have greatly helped me:

  • Meditation (5 minutes a day)
  • Morning pages (500 words a day through the app)
  • Gratitude journaling (3 things I am grateful for)
  • Goal journaling (3 things that are my goal currently)

I get up every morning at the same time before anyone else is awake and get these things done so they don't get pushed out of the day.

After that, I start working on my To-Do list and accomplish at least 3 minor tasks that are going to push me toward my goals.

Doing this consistently will allow you to obtain positive momentum toward your goals.

Why the Mercedes?

My brother was the only one in the family that ever really had nice cars in the family. I always wanted a snazzy car but holy cow did I ever think they were expensive. One of the companies I work with had an incentive going on. They would pay one person's car payment for 24 payments and I earned my way to being that person. Sitting there in Vegas and got shocked out of my seat when I was called to the stage to accept the prize.

This was aftering putting it in my journal, meditating and writing my goals. #imabeliever lol

How Can This Help You?

You're probably thinking - great for you. lol Glad you got your Mercedes chick. I'm not telling you this to impress you, but rather to impress upon you that you are creating whatever your life is. (Good or bad) Get excited.

You may have thoughts that you can't afford Premium or that you're not good with computers. Instead of thinking those things, turn it into a question.

How can I afford premium so I can continue my education?

What is one step I can take to get better on the computer?

This allows your most amazing asset to get to work!

A rising tide raises all ships!

To the top!

I always admire you. A nice piece with wisdom though. Thank you

Hello Jessica,
Thank you for the lesson. I have
made many dumb moves in my life.
I was schooled in a small country
school. One of my sisters graduated
in 1957. The entire class consisted
of 4 students. Three or four grades
was needed to make up a basketball team.
We could not have our shirt collar turned
up for pictures in 1956 or 57. The teachers did not
approve of ELVIS. I wanted to go deer hunting
in tenth grade so I walked out of classroom
and lit a cig. I was expelled.. Started 10th grade again
next year. Graduated in 1961 instead of 1960.
Joined the army 4 days later. Was offered an
officer training slot after basic training.Told them
no thanks and was sent to training to become a cook.
Eleven years was longest job I ever had. Maintenace
work in a paper mill. Asked for a 3 week leave of absence
and was told no. I walked out and never went back.
Now I am 76 years old and just in the way. Two massive
heart attacks 16 years apart. Now I have one artery keeping me alive. So I reckon I might just enjoy whatever time I have left
and forget about trying to build a business.I cant seem
to concentrate very well anymore anyway.
No doubt in my mind , You will be an outstanding
WA success story. You have what is needed to keep
the wagon moving. I am paid up for a year so let me know
how you are moving up to the top tier.. You will be there
James

James,

Thank you for sharing with me. My husband was Army for 8 years and I don't believe our vets get half the recognition and $$ that is owed to them.

As far as being too late for you, I don't think so. Let that spark come back to life in you. I believe you can do it.

Think of some things you can look forward to. Maybe a person or a hobby and keep motivated. We die when the spark goes out whether our body is healthy or not. I've struggled with depression and feeling like I am in the way plenty, but every day I have to make a choice to get up because someone out there might need my help. :)

Hi Jessical.
Thanks for the reply .
I still stick with your possibilities with WA
No doubt you will rise to the top fast.
Makes me happy for you. I think I know why I can
not get going. Reading a blog last night and I think
he is right on. His belief is that without something
that you are really passionate about your niche will
never blossom into a beautiful flower. My problem,
I do not have a niche I am passionate about. I am
not a high emotional person. Laid back and ,
relaxed will describe me better.
Sending the best of the best wishes to you
Enjoy
James
