Dedication, Persistence or Tenacity

Dedication to your Website

It seems that we all need a sign to find our niche but to develop our website. It takes time, effort and energy to develop a truly outstanding website. You have to be willing to dedicate time daily or at the very minimum weekly to your website to make it grow. You want it to grow in depth, sophistication and appeal to the average person who is likely to visit. You want all the bells and whistles there. You want it to be appealing to the eye(eye candy). You want it to beckon the viewer in, who may become a customer of your affiliate link because of your gift at appealing to their need. How well did you create or define the need? All of this takes time to develop. You have to be willing to dedicate the time to the classes that are available. If you have someone else design your website for you then it will never be truly yours. You will always find some fault with it. On the other hand, if you develop the website yourself by following the training then while it may not be perfect(few are) then your level of satisfaction will be higher and your sense of ownership.

How persistent are you?

Do you give up easily? Do you procrastinate often? Do you make excuses? Do you overcome any obstacle in your way(namely yourself)? If you answered yes to the first three questions then welcome to the human race. We all do this in some for from time to time. If you have never had this problem then yes you are still human but one that is extraordinary. I envy those of you who have never procrastinated, given up, or made excuses. You are to be held up as an example of what we can all accomplish. The fourth question brings us to the meat of the problem overcoming obstacles. Most often, the problem lies within our outlook on life.can we or can't we. I am guilty of knocking myself down when I am just mere keystrokes away from a breakthrough. As with many of you it was instilled in me that I was not gifted enough or smart enough to be successful. I tell you now that it is within the reach of all of us here at Wealthy Affiliate to be successful. We have the tools, we have the community and we have the support here. The one ingredient not provided is your desire to succeed. THAT YOU HAVE TO SUPPLY.!

Tenacity

Do you the tenacity to complete the task at hand? Are you tough enough mentally to stay with it whenever it gets to be tough going? Are you stubborn enough to not listen to others when they say that it is beyond your abilities? The reason the tortoise won the race and not the hare was because the tortoise did not give up when everyone said the hare was too far ahead and there was no possible way to catch up. All things pointed to the tortoise losing the race but determination kept the tortoise going. It takes a particular type of mindset to overcome obstacles. It takes time and effort on your part and mine to develop that particular way of thinking. It is not easy to do and takes practice every day for some of us. You have to find a way to motivate yourself every day to do just a little more than the day before. This is part of what it means to be tenacious.

Opportunity

If you are uncertain after all your hard work, don't be. You have persisted to learn what was in the classes. You have asked the community for help and you have asked friends you have made at Wealthy Affiliate for advice and possibly to take a look at your website. You have put in long hours for the classes and spent a large amount of time researching your niche. Now you are almost ready for everything to go well. You have checked everything- your content, your SEO, your analytics now you are all set. You post your first blog and get indexed quickly. You write and publish your first blog and you wait. And you wait. And you wait. You begin to think maybe you missed something but you have not. It takes TIME to build a website from scratch, populate it and have it rank quickly. You are not the only one out there doing the exact thing along similar lines. Just be patient success will come since you have taken advantage of an opportunity that presented itself to you. You have to remember to keep positive thoughts about what you have already accomplished. You have done so much more than most people were going to give you credit for. You have made your own opportunity.
