Hey guys!

I just want to give you a quick update that my website's daily visitors has just reached my all time high of 274 visitors in a day. 84 came from Organic, 17 came from Referral and more than 100 came from Quora!!

For more experienced members here, this may not be a huge traffic but it's definitely a breakthrough for me.

So, I just checked my Google Analytics and I found out a pretty awesome traffic source which is coming from Quora.

Recently, I've published a WA post about Forum Marketing and how to leverage platforms like Quora and Yahoo Answers. You can read it here:

Forum Marketing: The Secret SEO & Traffic Boost

How to Generate Free Targeted Traffic from Quora?

Let me share with you what I did...

Firstly, I just signed up for Quora last week. What I did over the past few days was just setting up my account and ANSWER 3 QUESTIONS on Quora. That's all.

To be more specific, I've just published a post on my website recently to target young adults who are making their decisions for College. So I went to Quora and find people asking questions about College (These are targeted audience for my post!).

So I put in some time to answer the questions to my best ability and leave them links to my website for more information. (Take note that I didn't anyhow answer a short reply and spam links.)

In fact, I treated it as writing a blog post to HELP people so I gave really long and detailed answers.

Guess what?!

I got more than 10K views on Quora in just one day for that particular answer!!

(See how I naturally inserted my link in the answer)

Here's the link to this particular answer on Quora if you're interested:

https://www.quora.com/Is-college-worth-it-these-days/answer/...

That's also how I managed to drive massive targeted traffic to my website simply by HELPING PEOPLE.

My Recommendation

I'll recommend you to spend around 30 minutes every day to answer one or two questions on Quora that are relevant to your niche.

Then add your highly relevant link to your website to help them even more. Take note, it's HIGHLY RELEVANT LINK, not just any link to your website.

I believe this will be a pretty great opportunity for you to massively grow your business if you put in consistent effort.

That's all for today. I hope this has been helpful to you and you found some values in this post!

If you found some value in this post, please say "YES" in the comment below. Also, let me know what do you think about this strategy in the comment below.

I would love to learn from you as well :)

Cheers

Jerry

I started with Quora last year but did not keep up on it and was worried about adding links. I thought that was a problem before you built up a good reputation there. Did you add links on your first answer there?

I will definitely go back and start using Quora the way you are recommending! Thanks!!
Jessica

Hey Jessica,
Since a lot of the forums don't allow links when you're new, I was thinking Quora would be the same.

But I tried posting link in my first answer and it went well. So, yes from my experience you can post links in Quora even if you're new :)

This is great advice! Thanks!

You're welcome!

I use Quora but wow! I've never gotten that many views! I was discussing with someone just today about how few views we are getting on questions we answer..

You did an awesome job answering a very poplular question.

That is simply great!

Thank you Cynthia! I wish you all the best :)

My niche hobby site is targeting alternate history. I know I'm in the right church with Quora now. GREAT news!!

Nice! All the best Michael! Quora has questions for absolutely any niche. It's just like a search engine for Q&A, LOL!

A program that can use any point in time or space as a reference is well thought out!

Yeah man!

Very good advice. It's certainly worth trying.Thank you!:))

You're welcome Vera!

:))

I enjoy Quote but I have not answered any questions. Your post has now encouraged me to look for questions I feel comfortable answering. Thank you for sharing this and hope togive you positive feedback at some stage.

Awesome Tania! Wish you all the best :)

I have just noticed predictive text... Quote should be Quora!

Good stuff Jerry,

I gave Quora a miss because I saw some really stupid topics in it. I mean questions you wouldn't expect a 5-year-old kid to ask.

On seeing this post I will go back and have another look.

There are lots of questions on Quora. You can filter your feed by interest so that they only show questions relevant to you.

Nevertheless, there will definitely be stupid questions regardless of which platform. But most importantly there are good questions with great opportunities for you to help people in your niche :)

Thanks, Jerry I will definitely have a look.

All the best Brad :)

This is a great tip. I was unaware we could post links in Quora, thought it might be against the rules, but if it's not, then, this is definitely something I need to try, cos my target audience are hard to find. :)

Yup, we are allowed to post links in Quora! Just make sure you're helping people :) Remember we are in the "business of helping people"

Congrats on your success with Quora Jerry! It's on my To Do List

Thank you Shell!

Anyone here knows if links from Quora answers are considered "dofollow" backlinks?

Hi jerry, can you please tell me what ‘dofollow’ backlinks are?

"dofollow" backlinks are links that Google will give you "Google link juice". This means that the link will potentially help you rank better for the content.

Gonna try this out, man. Thanks for the tip :)
I was wondering are links posted in the answers "dofollow" back links?

Hey Wilson, that's a good question. To be honest, I suppose they are dofollow backlinks but I'm not too sure.
