How to Get Paid to Advertise on Your Website
So you want to know how to get paid to advertise on your website, do you?
Okay, first things first. Let's make sure we don't get ahead of ourselves.
Do you have a lot of traffic coming to your site?
If so, great, skip ahead to how to monetize that traffic.
However, a lot of people (myself included) have made the mistake of putting the cart before the horse where affiliate marketing or ad based marketing are concerned.
You want to build traffic before you try advertising.
Not only will people who make it to your site be turned off if it is nothing but advertising, they probably won't make it there in the first place because search engines prioritize content over anything else (and even penalize too much advertising to content ratio).
So you need to build up your content in your niche first.
The easiest way to build up content that will build up traffic is to follow the lessons here at Wealthy Affiliate. If you are already a member, just click "Get Started Here" on the left and pickup wherever you left off. If you are not yet a member, you can sign up for a free trial (no credit card required) by clicking "Create a Free Account" on the top right.
Okay, I'll build traffic (or I already have) but now I want to know what to promote on my website.
Well, this will actually come quite naturally as you build the content out, and is covered in the lessons later on in Kyle's "Online Entrepreneur Certification Course" (always accessible from "Get Started Here" for members).
However, there may be some affiliate programs you haven't thought of that would fit into your website.
Here are some I love:
Groupon (https://partner.groupon.com/login) - Fantastic for websites about all things local. Promote local restaurants, theme parks, mini golf, you name it.
AirBNB (https://www.airbnb.com.au/invite) -- Great for travel websites. Promote decentralized accommodation!
Uber (my explanation on how to affiliate market uber - https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jeremywest/blog/ub...) -- Great for websites promoting events, restaurants, or anything else where people have to get somewhere.
Audible (http://www.audible.com.au/affiliate-intro) - Great for anything audio related, e.g. podcasts, audiobooks, etc.
Wealthy Affiliate - (http://my.wealthyaffiliate.com) Perhaps the best affiliate marketing program out there. Great for any website that focuses on online entrepreneurship. Also great while you are building your own site for simply adding content to this one.
Wealthy Affiliate is an authority site and all content ranks highly on any keywords related to affiliate marketing. And any content you create here (including blogs, training, even questions!) is credited to you as a referral if someone clicks directly to your content with no affiliate link (e.g., from a seach engine).
So there you have it, there are lots of ways to get paid to advertise on your website. Just make sure you put the horse before the cart!
Please share your own favorite affiliate marketing programs, ad programs, or any other way to get paid to advertise on your website below, along with any questions you have for me.
And if you are not already a Wealthy Affiliate member, why not? It's free to join and you will learn everything you need to know about making money from your website (particularly if you give the paid premium side a try, but try the first lessons free to make sure it's for you first). Just click "Create a Free Account" above to get started now!

Nice Jeremy...though i have a question. What will you suggest for website (www.blogmoney.siterubix.com) promoting services like WA that is yet to own it own domain???
2 things are suggested in the training. 1) A name that describes your niche. Blogmoney would be good for this, if it's available. 2) A brandable name. This is how I went. My site is thepocketfeeder. I think blogmoney is also brandable, but you may have to come up with something else. Kyle really pushes going for the .com domain names.
Your own .com would probably be the ultimate. However, siterubix is well ranked in google so you can get a boost from that as well.

Thanks for the short training. What about if I share this post on a site for example, does it get credited to me?
Hi Kav.
Yes.
You just need to get your affiliate link to this article by clicking the "Affiliate" button at the top of the article. You can do this with any page of Wealthy Affiliate. We are all creating content for each other to share and get credit for. What a loving community. :)
