What emailmarketing program does anyone recommend?

Hello everyone!

So I have failed at the start to obtain as many subscribers as possible to make a beautiful large subscription list for my website.

I have previously used Mail Chimp on my website, but didn´t really like my home address coming up every time someone subscribed. So I tried different ones out, but gave up with it all in the end.

Below is where the address would show up (covered up)

I have tried looking on here for peoples suggestions and found that many other people found mail chimp confusing and much preferred using Aweber. Although my main concern now is that after a 30 day free trial period, it costs $19/month and that´s for only up to 500 subscribers. As of yet, I don´t think I am ready to go for a paid version.

So would anyone recommend an easy friendly platform to use?

Thanks!

I have always been one that is looking for in-expensive solutions as well as solutions that allow me to maintain control of my list.

I use a wordpress plugin called MailPoet Newsletters which allows me to maintain my lists on my server. I can create my auatoresponder mailings, move users between lists, and send newsletters which are all designed on my WordPress site.

I then use Elastic Email for sending my newsletters directly from my WordPress installation. This keeps my ISP happy because all emails are sent through the Elastic Email servers and my email does not get listed as spam.

The best part with this approach is the costs... I can send thousands of emails for much less than AWeber charges just to maintain an account from month to month.

Wow thanks a lot for all this information. I decided not to go with Aweber for the moment. Actually I came across another list builder by accidental. I´m on free version but there are paid versions to it too. The thing I am using is called SumoMe, it sounds a bit like Mail Poet, but I couldn´t quite say as I haven´t yet looked up the suggestions that you gave- I will do though!
I will definitely look into both Mail Poet and Elastic Email. I just find all of this so confusing, switching from different platforms.

I understand aWeber is the most popular but I use GetResponse. Just personal preference. It works for me.
Cheers Kev

Thanks Kev...Do you know how that differs from Aweber or the others?

They all have pluses and minuses. aWeber is more user-friendly.
They all offer a free trial period, GetResponse is 30 days so you have plenty of time to work out if it works for you.

Let me know if I can help.

Cheers Kev

An Internet Marketer I work with has a large list and will only use Aweber - it seems to be the auto-responder of choice :)

With any free auto-responder you're not going to get what you need. I use Aweber - I find it very easy to use, plus they have pleanty of instructional videos as well.

If you're serious about building a mailing list - best to invest in a proper autoresponder

Thank you for your opinion. I will have to take that in consideration.
