Receiving emails from WA members promoting Black Friday offer!

This Black Friday deal is amazing! And definitely going to go on board with it, but you know when people are going over the top on here, when you start receiving emails to your personal email address asking you to sign up to yearly- that is ridiculous!

Has anyone else had any situations like this and what are your thoughts about it?

Same here - the only email I got was from Kyle and a WA member

This is a great deal

The only email I received was from Kyle, which I assume was a standard email to all WA members.

I actually didn't receive that email :P

I've never had that.
No, it's the blogs on here that convinced me to do it yesterday.....:-)

Glad you haven't. Yeah Kyle's blogs are very explanatory to grab up the great offer :)

I send out emails to my list - that is, people who have signed up to my website at some point. Some of those people will no doubt also be WA members. But that's it -- I don't know how people would have members private emails otherwise? Other than if you left a comment on their site before and you can see the email - but they shouldn't be doing that. :/

It's understandable if you send emails out to your subscribed members, but I have not subscribed to any ones website on here, only left comments and like you said they really shouldn't be taking your email address from the comment section.

I think they must have taken your email when you've written a comment - you should confront them about that :/

I don't think they did. I'm not saying who the peson is, but I am sure I didn't go onto that person's website.

I haven't seen that yet. I guess people are sending to lists that include WA members.

But how do people get hold of your personal email address? Should that not be hidden for public use?

1

There are lots of ways for folks to do that. You may be on a common list with them somewhere. If your website kicks emails to your personal email, it could have gone that way. Its too bad. I hope it doesn't keep happening to you.

Thanks for the feedback Jim.

You're welcome.

Some have lost compass.

So it seems... :(
