Beginner Affiliate Thoughts: Learning To Plan
Lately I have been feeling a little lost in the sauce. I built my site, It looks nice .. well I think so anyway … and I have a lot of content. Wealthy Affiliate makes it easy to generate and post the content and there is a lot of training to cover the different angles that I can take. I have even had two or three organic visits!!
But … I still had this feeling of ‘what should I do?’
I would sit down any time I was not working my career job (or my second job), or wrangling the dogs, or being with the family … I have a lot going on. Anyway, I would sit down to work on my site and just look at the screen. Should I do some training, should I work on something else .. eventually I would just settle on what I ‘needed’ to do and make content, then post it. I was literally just going through the motions - and breaking one of the rules of affiliate marking that I learned here at WA (more on that in a later post).
it might be my inner Capricorn, or the fact that I work with computers, but I do not work well with loose requirements and lack of a goal to move towards and after some thought I suspected that this might be my overall problem.
I needed a plan.
Nothing too strict, I just needed some kind of structure that I could use to guide myself in a direction. Specifically, I needed something that would allow me to tell me what to work on and when. So my structure needed to serve two purposes
A: Let me know what I am doing
B: Let me know when to do it
So, Ive decided that I need a plan, so whats next? Thats right, I need to plan the plan! In the spirit of keeping things brief, I’ll save that for the next episode.

I think I understand your feeling as I've had those moments. Creating posts is a good activity actually so you are doing well. But that is not all there is to it. Go on and continue with the training you will learn much more and your mind will open up more. Today I learnt how to use social media in a much more effective way. All from the core training.
So in a nutshell keep going, keep doing the training, it will all gel together as you go.
It definitely is starting to come together. I think one of the mistakes that I made when I first started was trying to go through the content as fast as I could to get a site up and running. Since affiliate marketing is a 'long term' gameplan, its OK to take your time and create quality content.

Totally hear where you are coming from Jeramy! It happens to me all the time!
After the grind of sorting out everything that needs to be done in the day first... I sit in front of my puta in the evening and don't even know where to start at times and end up doing nothing!!
I have actually found it best to do no work for a week and just spend the time planning what I want to accomplish for the next 3 weeks!!
I can normally plan for 6 months then, which I will never do, but....as long as I move forward in the following three weeks, I have accomplished more than if I just sat looking at the screen!!
Take care buddy and enjoy the rest of your week! :-)
