Going To Be Kicked Out Of Amazon
Yesterday I received the email from Amazon, stating that I have 30 days left to meet their 3 sales requirement. It is just disappointing news to hear because I thought I would have made more progress than I have so far, I have had very little clicks, and no sales. It is safe to say that I will not make the deadline. I am going to try and promote my articles more, to see if that helps.
I am wondering what to do with all the links in my articles, once I get kicked out? I know you can re-apply and they give you a new code, but is there an easy way to change all the links?
I just feel like Amazon has a lot of products for my niche, and I have been struggling to find other affiliate programs out there.
I'm hoping someone can help answer my questions about what to do with all of the links, once you get kicked out.

That is one of the biggest problems with Amazon - so wrong of them! Are you getting clicks but no sales? It's possible that the product are you promoting require a longer time to consider the purchase than the 24 hour Amazon cookie. Try using different merchants instead of Amazon and you may be much more successful.
The only thing that can come to mind now is that you invite family and friends or even yourself to go on your website and make a purchase. Good luck to you
Purchases will not qualify, if family or yourself buys something. It is written in their policy.
Hi Jenny. I had to replace links once and used a free plugin called "Better Search Replace". It made updating the links to a new code very easy and quick.

Sorry to hear about Amazon, do you have friends or family that are online shoppers, maybe they will buy something through your link in the next 30 days. You would have to ensure you give them an affiliate like for what the are buying. It is getting close to Christmas shopping season. I would ask around, all you need to do is get the 3 sales. As you know you can rejoin but would have to go backwards and change all your links. I hope this works out for you.

Thank you Mary. I see in your profile picture you own a Golden Retriever. I have a 3 year old Golden named Ellie. They are great dogs. My niche is actually golden retrievers.
I tried the family thing, but amazon does not allow this, nor friends. Not sure how they know.

Huh, I did not know this about family and friends, don't know how they would know. Duck Hudson is 3 years old, we had an old golden before him but he passed away, his name was Brooklyn. It is amazing how this breed just naturally are part of your family, both our dogs had the same loving personality. You probably feel the same with Ellie. You could try some kind of a "limited time offer" for the first so many people who order a certain amount from amazon through your site gets a $5 amazon gift card, of course you would need their email address...hint, hint!....
Or you could pick something and just give it away for anyone who orders from your site in the next..however long you chose...I don't know what you situation is?
But if you have just a little traffic, you may pick up a few people/sales without breaking the bank. Or just run a promotion for something for free(which you would buy of course, and send them afterwards..like gift cards) You can say the promotion has ended after 3 sales?
I see also that Amazon has give-away program ads all the time, I have never used them, but just give them a call and talk to them about it. The people at Amazon are wonderful to talk to, they help me out a lot.
One other thing might be to try to boost a post on facebook, and limit your budget to say $20...JAY here has a video on boosting facebook posts, just search his videos.
Find a great product to promote, write an article about it, and boost the article, by sending people to your site. I have not boosted yet either, but I think you can't post a direct link to amazon, but you can boost you website article.
Anyway, the point is maybe for about $20-$30 bucks, you can get 3 or sales, and learn about promotions. Hope that helps?
As far as the links go, they are easy to remove. You just edit the post and click the link, then edit, and the unlink symbol. But, they will stop working anyway, if that happens. If you don't remove them you will have those little box symbols where your add or link was that don't work. They are unsightly so you will want to clean them up. It's time consuming, but not hard to do.
And you can reapply to Amazon again later anyway.

Thank you Chas, you offered some good ideas. I will try promoting more, for free though, I just can’t afford to spend money on promotions right now. I have image links from amazon too, do you know what to do with them?
They work like images, you edit them the same as removing an image.
If nothing else, you can remove the text, in text mode, in your editor.
Could you ‘cheat’ and pay three of your relatives or friends to buy items? The cheapest items you can get away with obviously. Think of it as an investment in your business. I have put off joining Amazon as I have no traffic and my site is only a few months old and I need to write more posts.
No, unfortunately friends and family cannot purchase from your links. The purchases will be disqualified. You yourself cannot purchase either. I joined Amazon too soon, that was my mistake.
