A Possible Solution To Amazon Images
Hi everyone,
I was doing some reading on Reddit about Amazon getting rid of its images and image + text on Sitestripe, and there was a discussion about the plugin Lasso.
So, I came across this YouTube video and the guy talks about the Lasso plugin and how they are working on a migration tool so that all of the Amazon Sitestripe images can be automatically migrated over to Lasso instantly.
The Lasso plugin only uses Amazon API, and API is unaffected by the changes to Sitestripe.
Of course, this sounds like a major timesaver, but, Lasso is a paid plugin which is not ideal. There was mention of a free version of this plugin in the video, so that might be a solution.
I'm not too familiar with this plugin, but it sounds like it would be a great solution.
Have you heard of this plugin?
Let me know your thoughts below.
[I am in no way affiliated with the Lasso plugin, the link above takes you to the YouTube video about a quick fix for Amazon images].

Thanks, Diane.
We'll have to see what she reports back.
Sadly, $39 dollars a month is just too steep for me.
I read that one earlier too, Jenny! I have never been an Amazon Affiliate though! Good you pointed this out though!
Jeff
You really dodged a bullet, Jeff.
As an Amazon Affiliate, this is really going to be a lot of work!
Hi Jenny
Lasso is a great solution if your site is making enough money.
It’s definitely worth monitoring the progress of their migration tool.
Thanks! 😎

Yes, definitely. It sounds like the migration tool would really help.
I'm just not sure if their free version would be capable of this as well, most likely not.
I’m pretty sure that the migration tool won’t be free. It’s a great idea for those who have the budget!
I’m also guessing that some WP plugins will be available to migrate the Amazon links.
Yeah, we'll have to wait and see if other plugins become available. I'm really hoping for a free or very low-cost solution, as well as an easy and least amount of work solution.
That is wishful thinking! LOL!

There are a number of plugins that help you to organize images and other product information from Amazon.
To use them, you must have set up your credentials with Amazon Associate's PA-API and it must be returning correct information from a PA-API call.
If that's not happening (and that's the issue I'm currently having, with an Amazon support desk that seems clueless) no plugin can help.
Thanks, Phil.
I set up my credentials today, but apart from that I didn’t do anything further because it’s so confusing right now.
My credentials are active and have passed the 72 hour period, but any call to PA-API returns an error message. The Amazon help desk is clueless.
Not good news that’s for sure!
I’m not surprised that the help desk is clueless Lol!!
Thanks for your continued persistence with this.
Still trying!
