Old School For Me
The last couple of days I have been pulling together a lot of info preparing to populate my site with content. This morning I sit staring at the screen...blank. I turned off my laptop, grabbed a pencil and notepad and literally wrote at least 6 pages of content.
I'm not sure why I experience writer's block a lot sitting in front of a screen. I find it easier to put it on paper first. Maybe it's because I'm old..too many research papers with required outlines, rough drafts, and final drafts...who knows, hahaha. But it works for me. I know it takes extra time, but I'm really not rushing things so I guess that a slow step forward is better than no step at all.
Have a Blessed Day!

I use to be the same way. Until I started running out of paper and my house piling up with paper, lol.
I started using my phone again. I use my phone to write my content on Google Docs and it automatically saves to my laptop.
Then all I have to do is copy & paste to SiteContent.
Take your time. Let your words come out anywhere you feel.
Great Job writing 6 pages :-)
I wish I could use my phone. My eyesight is horrible and it's really dificult typing with the tiny keyboard. I'm going to try a speech to text app however.
Great post I enjoy reading very much. I wish that I could write it down on paper first but I can't. I can type it faster on the computer than anything else. But you have a great plan that works for you and that is just wonderful. Keep up the great and see you in the community.

I do the same thing, so you're not alone! Morning pages really help me a lot- which is just stream of consciousness. I make myself write 4 pages, even if its just blabbing, and ever if my thoughts are inconsistent. It really helps :-)

Hi Jen
I'm old school too and often have notebooks in my car, my purse, my desk, kitchen table..the list goes on. However a friend here at WA told me about Google Docs Speech Recognition Sound Writer.
While I'm online I activate this to make "notes" of things I've told myself a 100 times before I would remember and wish to write content on...yup..never happened...until now! I have an idea or a spark of interest, I make a note. It actually helped yesterday's writing and has inspired the writing I'm working on today.
