She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
So, I haven't been on the site in a while due to life getting the best of me. Medical issues and whatnot. I was unable to work, which caused some financial hardships. The stress of dealing with a serious illness, coupled with that financial burden had me at the end of my rope. Today, I lost my job because my condition "doesn't qualify for short-term disability" (according to my HR department- gotta love Corporate America and their loopholes to avoid taking care of their employees). Oddly enough, I felt a little relieved. Yes, I have to start looking for other employment, but if I'm being honest with myself, the last 10+ years of call center customer service has me burnt out anyways. My doctor even said that the stress of my job was affecting my health. So, rather than continue on with being depressed about everything going on, I'm determined to look on the bright side of things. I am still alive. I am getting treatment for my condition. My daughter is perfectly healthy and absolutely wonderful. My family has been incredibly supportive during this difficult time. And now that I have a plethora of free-time, I can devote myself to getting my website up and running. I'm excited to come back to Wealthy Affiliate and become a more active participant in this community. Well wishes to all, and thanks for reading :-)
