While I am following along with the lessons, I seemed to have jumped ahead on my own. (Ironic, considering yesterday I took a step back. Apparently directions aren't my strong suit.) For most of today, I worked on brainstorming for my site's content. There is, after all, no point in building the cart that is the website without having the horse that is the content... yeah that makes sense...

Though I have chosen a seemingly specific niche, the topics for my articles/posts are endless. While doing searches and gathering topic intel, I quickly realized just how much work and research this going to require in the beginning. This is the sort of topic that the more I learn, the more I will be able to pick up on what I need with little research. Eventually it will become more effortless. At this point, however, it is turning into quite a big project just to get it started on the first few articles. I am not deterred, though. My launch will likely be delayed, but good things come to those who are anal about making perfect first impressions.

(Besides, being unemployed currently, I have plenty of extra time on my hands anyway.)

My current goal is to begin with 10 articles... though I am contemplating bumping that up to as high as 20. Depends on how long they take and if I get impatient with the work, I suppose. However, I did spend weeks (ok, maybe months...) grinding, farming and crafting in order to make myself a Mechano-Hog, so I should give myself more credit.

I am also trying to brainstorm names. I'd like to have a few options before I go looking to purchase domains. Considering the admittedly odd idea I've picked, it is no surprise I am not bursting with ideas.

Tomorrow I plan to buckle down and do some writing. I've been so absorbed in researching and learning, taking notes and making scribbles. I'm going to have to tear myself away long enough to actually produce something useful!
