My name is Jeff and I joined Wealthy Affiliate 2 weeks ago and following is information on my progress to date.

I came into the program because I was interested in learning about affiliate marketing and had read about WA on Nathan's website One More Cup of Coffee. I was impressed by the fact that they don't push pie in the sky results like make $10,000 a month from a $100 investment and 1 hour a week work. Nathan's blog emphasized that it takes a lot of work and dedication to become successful at affiliate marketing but if you are willing to commit to learn WA is a great place to do it. I asked him a couple questions and he always got back in a timely manner with reasonable educated answers as he still does.

The learning curve on WA has been steep for me as while I do have some experience selling online I had none in affiliate marketing and almost none in Wordpress, Search optimization, blog posting etc. The hardest part but most enjoyable for me has been writing the blog posts due to the fact that I am not accustomed to really sharing my opinions. My website is called wineluver.com and I chose it due to the fact I moved to the Niagara region of Canada a few years ago and it is the wine capital of Canada. I know almost nothing about wine but think it will be a great industry to learn about as it fits for some products my company can sell and going wine tasting is a good way to entertain visitors from out of town.

I look forward to the upcoming training phase on making money from the site as Affiliate Marketing looks as though it can be a fantastic source of revenue due to the fact you carry no inventory, overhead costs are minimal, and there are unlimited products to market. I am still a bit skeptical on how much money can be made as it seems almost too good to be true but was encouraged from reading Affstats 2013 report which indicated 10% of affiliate marketers earn more than $100,000/year and 3.3% make more than $500,000/year. The report was referenced by Forbes magazine so I assume there is some truth to it.

I look forward to making my first sale in next month or 2 and will be happy if I can start getting some consistent revenue within the next 4-6 months.
