Planning ahead before life happens.
Life happens.
You can plan for things to go your way.
I'm going to finish my blog, work on my website and then.
Something happens. Phone rings, text message pops up.
Time gets away from you and you feel like nothing goes right for yourself or you feel guilty for putting off things you want to accomplish.
I got to believe in happens to everyone.
It is frustrating to say the least.
Plan when happens life
You could almost make this a norm. Let's say you only have 15 minutes, what would you plan for what task would want to accomplish. This mind trick allows the guilt not to set in. It helps to have this when you only get 15 minutes in that day.
How to accomplish this:
Secretly sneak away to your secret hiding place, wait that can't happen especially if you have kids. You always could lock yourself in the bathroom...
Seriously.
Instead of replying to emails or after a productive day, add the 15 minutes or so to plan for this.
For example, have an outlined blog post ready. Have some research ready for next blog post. Find ideas to improve your website.
Think about what you would want to accomplish in order to keep yourself accountable.
Call it your 15 minute plan.
Keep it tucked away in your pocket.
It is always a good idea to be prepared now rather than rushing to get something done.
We all know stuff happens and it always feels good when we can accomplish one small thing to keep our businesses rolling.
Keep that frustrating moment or time at bay.
Small wins results in big wins later.

BONUS TIDBIT:
Have you ever felt guilt when you don't accomplish what you set to do.
We all failed to accomplish things, tasks, or you'll skip doing it until tomorrow. That guilt set in. Before you know it, we ignore it for a long period, and we fail to accomplish anything.
Try this instead. If you want to keep yourself accountable, spend 15-20 minutes every day at first to get something done. What will happen, the guilt of not doing something begins to go away. Spend that time on something that needs to be accomplished. Eventually your mind will find the time to do more. The tasks begin to get easier to accomplish.

15 minutes is a good idea Jeff, only it's looking like I need a couple of hours before I can even start thinking about starting off properly on the day ;) Ah well another early morning to sleep and early morning to rise!
