Hello WA Family

Today I am going to provide you some insight on using Facebook for business. Since you time is limited, I am going to share the pros and cons to help you decide if you want to use this or not.

Facebook Business Pros

  • A huge potential audience
  • Target advertising to reach your target audience
  • Creating your own business group is a real benefit and awesome marketing strategy.
  • Post your blog posts on your Facebook business page for traffic.

These are some of the benefits I feel are worth you knowing about. Now we are going to look at the cons of using Facebook for business.

Facebook Business Cons

  • You are not alone promoting your sub-niche to your target audience. Being this is one of the most popular platforms for business the competition is challenging.
  • Affiliate links are not allowed on this platform. Many affiliates have been banned for inserting affiliate links on their pages.
  • You will find it will take time to build trust. Many people become addicted to Facebook that it actually hinders their success.

Facebook is going to take you time to start to experience success. I want you know this so you don't get discouraged when you don't start seeing results right away.

Facebook Business Start Up Guide

For those of you who have decided to give this platform a try. I have included a short guide to help you get started.

  1. Research and select affiliate program that are relevant to your sub-niche
  2. Optimize your page with relevant keywords and engaging content.
  3. Consider joining existing groups in your niche.
  4. Share your blog posts and valuable resources on your page to build trust.
  5. . Respond to any comments on your page. Answer any questions people might ask.
  6. Insert your blog post links in your posts naturally. Post helpful tips that will help people reading your posts.
  7. Use Facebook analytics and be flexible to adjust your strategy.
  8. Understand this is going to take time for you be established as an authority in your sub-niche.

With work and persistence Facebook could be a good marketing strategy. I don't use it myself since I have experienced other platforms that work better for my sub-niche.

You only have so much time to spend on social media, so you will find that it is going to take too much of your time to be able to promote your business on all of them regularly.

All Niches Are Not Equal

I have found that my sub-niche doesn't do as well on Facebook as it does on other platforms. Below are some niches that tend to do better, so if your promoting one of these this platform might be worth your time.

  • Health & fitness
  • Fashion
  • Beauty
  • Travel
  • Food
  • Parenting.
  • Gaming
  • Music
  • Movies
  • Sports.
  • Photography
  • Art
  • Crafts
  • Pets
  • Gardening
  • Personal finance
  • Marketing
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Technology
  • e-commerce
  • Real estate

What I did was used all the platforms that I was interested in at first. Then the ones that was not working for me I left go and focused on the ones that were the most productive.

I have tried doing network marketing on Facebook a few years ago, and that's a slow process. I also found that getting your info in front of people that are actually interested is hard too. I didn't like network marketing, and their techniques. It wasn't for me. But as far as Facebook itself goes, I use it a lot for personal use.

Hello Jena

You are not alone in your experience with Facebook for business. Other than my group that I had my success was very limited.

Jeff

Pre-covid and pre-Apple Privacy Policy issues, I used an event marketing strategy that was very effective for laser qualified LEADS.

I would promote other people’s events on EventBrite, which was integrated with Facebook and then use Facebook Boosted posts targeting the exact niche audience in a 20 mile radius of the event. I could target the audience by interests, and also job titles.

The people that registered, went into my Mailchimp account into an automated sequence.

Those were the days.

Thank you very much for sharing Brad

Hello K Pisarcik

You are not alone in your Facebook experience. I also never did well there so I don't use it myself

Jeff

Thanks for sharing, Jeff. I've also found that it takes some trial and error to find a platform that starts to deliver desired results. If one doesn't work, try another. Have a great weekend!

Susan

Awesome advice Susan

I tried them all at one time and then ditched the ones that didn't perform for me
