Non-Financial goals for WA and my own site Psycho Drama
The plans excluding the financial goals are actually my major reason for joining. I want to have a clearer vision of what my site will be for the next few years. I don't want to stay working for someone. I want to be my own boss.
The next 10 days. I support my family back in the Philippines so whatever is left with me here go to my food and some entertainment. I have the budget to go for a premium membership, but salary will be credited after the 10th of October. I wish I can be premium member by that time. That's an important goal for me right now.
The next 30 days. I want to build up my network of friends, be able to ask questions and be able to answer questions as well. With more than 8 years of blogging experience, I have amassed a certain knowledge that I want to share. I think that sharing knowledge in this community is going to be a fruitful and rewarding experience for me.
I am also going to level up my own website with more features, like personalized videos (with my site's own logo), adapt the costly review component I bought for $150 and have my own reviewers get ready to post their anime and movie reviews on my site.
I may also hire reviewers.
The next 6 months. I want to start hiring an SEO expert that will help my site get top ranking in Google and other search engines. I think that by this time, my site will have plenty of quality, informative and entertaining articles to compete with bigger sites. Well, there are a few English sites dealing with Asian cinema who ACTUALLY know the genre.
The next year. psycho-drama.com will be an authority in Japanese cinema, including animation with at least 10,000 visitors daily.

Some great plans for your site Herman! Just had a look and your site is pretty impressive. One thing that struck me, or maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any form of monetization.

I have google ads running before, but I am still developing the new template and the new look. I will put some on the right sidebar as I have them previously.

You're welcome, Herman! Adsense would be good but I was also wondering if there were affiliate programs for the dvds of the films you review. Just a thought!
That is something I have not really thought a lot to be honest. Right now, the site is getting from 1,200-1,500 visits per day, and from some research the volume of visits is not enough to warrant conversion to sales, I am not sure. I feel like I'm not confident enough to add affiliate programs for DVDs and the likes.
Can you tell me what you think? I am not sure what to do.
With that number of visits to your site, I would definitely give it a try. You could always try adding an affiliate link to your reviews or sidebar, just to see what response you get. If it doesn't work out you can always remove them.
