Careful or ChatGPT Will Scold You
Sometimes people forget that ChatGPT has been programmed by humans. Humans have biases. Consequently, ChatGPT reflects those biases.
Recently an NCAA athlete asked ChatGPT to help her condense a tweet advocating against allowing trans women in women’s sports. Instead of shortening the tweet, she got a lecture about emphasizing inclusivity and equality in sports rather than promoting exclusion based on gender. Then she was offered an alternative text reflecting ChatGPT’s opinion rather than her own.

This is not the first time, nor will it be the last time, that the bias of AI is on display. As long as humans are involved, which they are to create the programming, these biases will exist. Some are subtle while others, such as this one, are blatant.
The moral of this tale is never just accept the content ChatGPT spits out. At minimum give it the sniff test, and if something doesn’t smell right, don’t consume it. Given the increasing number of reports plus the number of lawsuits being filed, a lot of the AI generated content stinks.

Your article has opened my eyes. Something doesn’t seem right about using AI to fly higher than others.
This is happening everywhere. People are using AI for even things in their personal lives.
This dependency has many cons. When they no longer have AI what are they going to do?
To tell you the truth, I used it as an experiment to spread my wings. I prefer to perch quietly on a mango tree branch.
Because of greed, some people are going to fall hard.
Before I was a bit apprehensive. Now, I'm just watching!
AI generated images are being challenged in court. What's next? Content?
Then, there are those who pretend to not using AI and they are. It's crazy. But, we will survive through it all.

Glad you liked it! Yes, since originally writing this, so much has happened such as the judge's decision you mentioned. There are so many more lawsuits in the courts now too.
There are some people here on WA who love to brag about using ChatGPT extensively; I no longer trust any of their articles as being original.
I will continue too watch and experiment accordingly.

It appears that many members on the platform are finding AI very helpful. I must admit I still have a lot to learn!
Recently I was replying to a comment on one of my YouTube videos, I had an option to reply using AI. This is due to the fact that I have a Chrome extension for YouTube. AI gave me several different options to use as a reply, they were all, totally inappropriate and a long way from the correct answer!
We certainly have to take care when using this type of technology.

I keep seeing more and more posts on WA with all the earmarks of coming from an AI source. I instantly leave those without reading much less liking or commenting!
Thank you for your reply, Jeannine, this whole AI subject is kind of massive! I must admit I am extremely cautious about AI, I believe extreme care needs to be used. I must admit that there are some tasks that it can assist with, I have a lot to learn!
However, when it comes to writing or replying to comments, it needs to be very personal otherwise, it just doesn't make sense. I do believe it depends on what niche you are in, but as soon as a niche becomes slightly specialised, AI has a tendency to spit out rubbish!
Yes, there is absolutely no point in reading posts on Wealthy Affiliate that are written using AI. The platform is a training platform and we need to be sharing a genuine experience, not something that is generated automatically!

I said I love you to ChatGPT for the way the platform produced some information for me. I was told off because ChatGPT is AI and does not have human emotions, hahaha! It's fun to play with, that's for sure!
With the topic you mention, perhaps ChatGPT has been positioned to not create waves with the trans community, we know how that is going down for people who have across the globe.
If only that was the only place.
In this case, it wasn't only not to create waves, it responded to teach the person who asked a lesson about how wrong she was. So here it is - an emotionless bot trying to teach a world-class athlete about competition at that level! Basically saying her opinion not only didn't count but it was wrong! I'd love to toss that AI bot into the water and see how well it can swim, since it knows everything!
You are absolutely right. I have attempted some AI writing on something much less controversial, a fishing lure. The platform I was using would not accept my opinion, which I put in the query, that this was the best top water lure. I was wondering how many small mouth bass ChatGPT had caught.

Not sure if everyone knows the the builders of AI are already monetizing the product by working with select manufacturers for a variety of products. Guess what will be most strongly recommended in the future....
It will be the products of their select manufacturers of course! Everything else will be proclaimed "junk."

I'm just a newbie here, but something is wrong. I, too, am leary about AI, but it is a tool. A valuable tool, but still a tool. I've used it for research, but would never think of posting its results as my own. It even advises you against that within the program. If someone is literally copying and pasting, they deserve what they get. Maybe a few positives here and there, but ultimately very bad press. What if your friend had copied and pasted that? How humiliating!
The world will always try to bring individuality to its knees. That's just what it does. Under the guise of tolerance, it discourages all tolerance. It wants us all to assimilate. Those who don't stand up will stand for anything, but we must be diligent. A few people are responsible for keeping the entire population from self-destructing. We are the salt of the earth and if the salt loses it's savor...
