Not sure what to do with this

So, here's a comment that was left on my website through the comment section here at WA. The article was titled How To Do A Keyword Research For SEO. Here was the response I got:
"SEO pack is a cool thing to understand but idk how important it really is if you're not doing reviews or selling a product. Its cool to know that people are searching for something in your niche but sometimes uniqueness is the most important thing. Also promoting your product locally is pretty cool as well."
Is this person totally missing the concept of keywords and their importance? Or has the importance changed since I've been gone?
