The Chase
We have all been involved in the chase, on some level. We chase perfection, dreams, love, and the future. I've always thought "how silly is it that we chase things that can't logically run?" Not saying I've never been involved in the chase heck sometimes I feel like I run the marathon.
Here's some very important information that could help in the chase...
Realize that goals need to be met before catching anything. There is nothing that is worth anything that will be easy to obtain.
With a defined end point you will be consistently chasing. Example: I will make money... well do you stop at a penny? A million dollars? Somewhere in between? How will ever know when you've reached your goals if your goals have NO legitimate end point. Running a race with know ending is just running.
Know your limits. What will you do or give to catch whatever is it that you are chasing. Knowing what you'll do and what you'll give ultimately provides an outlined plan of getting from point A to point B.
Allow play room for you to change your mind. Sometimes at the beginning of a chase we feel it's the most important thing out there. Things change though and it's important to know you don't have to grasp to a mistake simply because you've invested a lot of time in creating that mistake.
It's okay to breathe and rest. Usually the chase involves things that aren't running anywhere we are just walking towards them. So walk towards them at a pace you are comfortable with. This is your life no one else's at the end of every day you make all of your choices, do yourself a favor and make sure they choices you can live with.

Way to go JD. Well put. May I add a piece though? In terms of leaving room to change our minds. We should consider why we are changing our minds. Do we want to change our minds because we are afraid of failing? Do we want to change our minds because it is much easier to do that than put in the work you didn't realize would be necessary? I don't think so, but that is just my opinion.
