Pay It Forward
Here at WA we are pay it forward community. You know the type of community in which "if I scratch your back then you'll scratch mine." We don't believe in getting first and getting later.
Donating your time can make a difference not just for you, but for your fellow members here at WA. What this means specifically is that....
1. To receive comments on your websites we ask that you first leave comments on other peoples websites. The program is set up so that for that every 2 comments you may request 1 comment. Helping other's not only provides their website with growth, but can also give you ideas as to what works and what does not. THE MORE YOU HELP THE MORE YOU WILL BE HELPED.
2. Feedback increases your website health. To ask for feedback you must first give feedback. Again for every 2 feedbacks you provide you may request 1.
Mutual respect goes ALONG WAY!! When you become proactive about building others up you will find they build you up with absolutely minimal requests. In this community you are going to get exactly what you give. Respect is paramount when running a business. You are only equal to the people you ask to build you up.... So you may want to put a lot of effort into building other people up.
Why are you telling us this, Jen? I'm telling you this because success in life isn't dependent on how many people you can get to work for you. Success is measured by what you are able to provide to other's. Right now providing your time will grow your business. It will also build the integrity needed to continue with an honest and profitable business.

Thank you so much I read something earlier about someone just requesting comments rather than putting in the effort to commenting first. I decided perhaps an educational post about paying it forward was needed

As an add on.....crediting people for their ideas goes a long way to not only boosting the other person but also makes you look good!
It always amazes me when someone takes the credit for someone else's work......especially in the job market, and what they don't realise is they are shooting themselves in the foot....
You lose credibility and following that way. But some people have to learn that lesson the hard way. I have forgotten occasionally to give credit and will have to go back and apologize. But I allow those slip ups to be learning lessons
Unfortunately we all make mistakes, but it takes a strong person to go back and admit their mistake.

How many people have I helped today? Well, our workload is so high I have to hire two new people. That means I will be helping two new families. Not only that but they get to work with a team of absolute superstars. In my 40 Years of employing people I don't think I have ever put together a team of higher achievers. All college graduates and all professionally certified.
I got the chance to play around with the WA again. After 2 years my exit time is it near. We have nearly finished migrating my sites away . My time will be very limited for the next week because I am back to building my business and in my business school classes. They are not very different from when I was working on my MBA but the Practical applications in today's internet-centric world are incredible. I guess once again I will miss over 1000 emails. But my company will be much better for it.
I love that you know your ability to employ others is indeed a great help. I am sure your business is amazing as well as those you employ
