Small Steps, Positive Momentum
Just completed course 2 of training. I'm feeling positive as my site is up and running and I've written several posts. I've linked up as an Amazon Affilliate and am now working on getting traffic to the site. Next step is getting banners up and condensing the size of my pictures (google says they are slowing down the loading of the page).
While I know that moving up in WA ranks does not indicate upcoming income, it has been positive reinforcement to see my rankings climb from 6000, to 3500, to 2700, to 2669 in the last three weeks. It means progress.
I've had some tough times staying motivated and I know I will continue to, as being self employed is 100% personal motivation. I think I finally got in a groove though. Once a week I sit down and write all the blogs for the week (with them being scheduled to post), then during the week I continue with training, WA interactions and general niche research. I'm day changing jobs (with a huge pay cut), in order to pursue my Aesthetician's License (Makeup Artist), so WA is important as that supplementary income.
I am positive that I'm doing this at the right time. My site, creativecostuming.net, is about costumes and dressing up. While it's meant for everyday fun, Halloween is just around the corner. I know that when my traffic increases, the income will start flowing. Just keep going on the path.

Hey JDugan, that's sound great, I fell the same motivation and I'm still going in this, I'm about to finish the Course 2 too so I'm more motivated reading blogs like these. :D
I think you're on track for increased income. It can be a slow process, and must constantly be cultivated before it gains enough momentum to produce consistently. I'm still in the quicksand, myself, but I just keep chipping away at it. The trick is not to stop, except for short periods. A day or even a week when you need to refocus.
